Do you open your home instance in one browser tab and the one you want to explore in another and once you find a community you like you switch to the other tab and subscribe to it there?

Well there is the part where all AI is controlled and developed by a group of fashist billionaires that primarily use it to spread false information and further their power, money and influence while destroying democracy, self expression and art. They are developed by stealing, exploiting and destroying the environment.

It is completely reasonable to hate AI in its current form even when presented with a cool and actually useful use case.

I think Gabe Newell said in an interview, VR is actually moving to fast. There is no point in pushing a product to market and spending all that time and money needed for that, when by the time you make it to the market the research has moved so much, your tech and product is obsolete already.

Expanding on what rustyfish wrote: a lot of wired stuff happens in those games and Ahti never acknowledges any of it. He is the janitor and he is mopping the floor. He will ask you to fetch something mundane like a tool from the basement which by pure coincidence is the exact place and time you need to be to save the world. He appears in places he should never have been able to get to. You had to fight through many enemies to get there, Ahti is just there.

Unfortunately in many places houses are rare and landlords can choose from a wide range of interested renters. They can always choose the renter that is willing to pay for the inspection completely and choose the inspection company favoured by the landlord.
