These are basically my thoughts.

I won't fault anyone for deleting their presence on social media, but if the goal is to disrupt the platform and perhaps start a movement for others to leave, leaving by itself won't help.

Connections on social media aren't as solid as they are in real life: they're feed-based. Your loss will be drowned out by the feed.

I'd recommend leaving Twitter without actually leaving. As in: clear out your entire profile of data, change your pfp icon/banner accordingly, and change your bio to something supporting the call to leave.

Social media sites do well because, when people leave, the feed fills in around them and mutuals no longer know they're gone. For added impact, set up an automated message saying why you've left and where to found you, or something else to that extent.

I think that being less capable is probably better for the current organization, especially if there are already people behind the scenes pulling strings.

Yes, I've gotten nonstop animated AI sex/noncon ads since turning off personalization.

Hopefully we can learn from the mistakes of our past.

But it's not looking good.

There aren’t children in hell.

Law and Order SVU 6.06 begs to differ.

Glad he ended up working on the right side, either way. It goes to show that there are people on the inside that eventually choose to do right for the right reason, and not just to try and save themselves at the last minute.

local communities be in charge of this themselves

You think that's gonna be a reliably good model? To me that sounds like another hellscape waiting to happen.

Wasn't he manufacturing arms for them? Of course, in a way to help go against the grain the most while doing it.

You won't find out until it's over.

First quit, then organise.

Their spot will be filled with a yes man for the party. Better to organize in your position of power and let them fire or remove you forcefully than to give up your seat.

Quitting won't help here, imo.

Both work. It's a sandbox game. I can't stand the cardboard cutout characters, but the mechanics are fun for a bit.
