Yes, maybe open vs. closed source is the better comparison. I will make one for this, too. But first I want to polish this one. I like the flags ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes, it's my project. But I didn't change it, the flag was always the british one. I was a bit worried, but this time, I didn't make a mistake.

Every category has an extra flag for lesser known/used options. But I happily add suggestions..

I'd say, it's the country, that has a deciding influence on the development of a software. Because it sets the rules that the team has to follow. That should be mainly the country, where the responsible organisation has its seat.

Exactly as the flag shows.

Another one for open vs. closed source is on my ToDo-list.

A simple site, where you can select the software you use, and it creates a ready-to-copy text showing their origin that you can post where you want.

Yeah, I'll try

Yes, you're right. I changed tha graph for instances and will look into the others. But not today ๐Ÿ˜ด

I found their explanation and as I suspected, they don't want to distract you. ๐Ÿ˜‰ https://www.datawrapper.de/blog/pie-charts But they're also saying, that this is not the right chart for so many values. So I'll retry.

They'll basically have to have a link to the account in their website.

[โ€“] fingolas@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago (2 children)

That's the standard in DataWrapper. From my experience they surely have a blogpost on why this is the only right way to do it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It takes a couple of seconds to load the data.

With a mouse, you can hover over it and it will highlight the corresponding part.

It's now way prettier and contains almost 1300 accounts.

You can show/hide columns, there is a powerful custom search and a button to download an CSV with the handles of all visible accounts for import. There's also the language, the country of origin, and a direct link.

While neither the regime nor SpaceX likes to reveal their cards, hackers and journalists are not deterred by this, and the laws of physics apply to everyone.

There's a powerful search for filtering by country, language or software (#Mastodon, #Flipboard, #Threads, #Ghost, #Bluesky...) & you can easily export the results for batch-following (in Mastodon at least).

I'm always searching for (verified!) accounts, that I missed. If you know some, please send them to @mho@social.heise.de

Let's try it again: This post from #Mastodon can reach the whole #Fediverse, #Bluesky & more. That's #Sharkey, #Pixefeld (hence the pic), #Mbin, #Lemmy, #Friendica, #Hometown, #Akkoma... How far can it go?

Please share it, wherever you see it! #SocialMedia
