I'm annoyed because I only saw it on my feed today. Luckily I was about 2 sentences in before I checked the date.

I mean to be fair, other countries, including the US, consider their coast guards to be part of their militaries. This doesn't seem deceptive to me. As for money spent on bases and pay raises, that seems like it should count.

It does look like having a trademark can also suffice.
Afaik to register a .ca you either need to either be a Canadian, a permanent resident, some sort of legal entity in Canada (so say Amazon Canada), or the monarch. So this company should have some kind of Canadian presence if they own a .ca.
What you are saying may be true where you live, but you shouldn't confidently (and incorrectly) speculate on laws elsewhere. Where I live, a couple living together are considered married after 2 / 1 years (provincial / federal definitions). No need for a ceremony, no need to call each other "wife" or "husband". It just happens. https://beyond.ubc.ca/what-bc-couples-need-to-know-about-common-law-spouse-entitlements/
Seriously this. Oil is a global commodity. But I guess it doesn't matter - Trump is rescuing them from their mistake.
Actually Polymarket never pays out. Every bet is matched with someone holding the opposite bet (and prices to make a bet shift accordingly to market demand for each side). Polymarket just rakes in fees, but they never lose money regardless of how a bet goes.

It's not clear in this image but I saw it in the plans the NYTimes posted for their article - but why does it need a gun range? I'm not familiar with American gun culture, but is it typical for government facilities like prisons to provide gun ranges for prison guards to practice?
Wasn't MS just saying that they were going to work to de-shittify Windows? Evidently the same decision makers for the previous shit are still in charge.
