@dzsimbo Being Queer is an inherently political act. Coming out is political. Getting married is political. How can you separate the personal from the political when it comes to gay identity?
@Jeffool @Rtardbunny my favorite sports reddit doesn't allow discussions of where to watch team games that don't put more money in the billionaire owner's pocket.
@lemmyingly @Rtardbunny I got banned from a gay focused subreddit for pointing out that it is impossible to separate gay/Queer identity from politics so a "no politics" rule is inherently not Queer-friendly
@Kolanaki it appears that in the other direction up votes do not turn to likes. However, I liked your post from Mastodon and now it shows +2 on Lemmy. So that is very interesting.
It was suggested that I ask KlingonPop for help and I realized that the replies wouldn't show up on Lemmy because I didn't tag it correctly. Still figuring out the fediverse stuff!

That's hardly the user-friendly and low barrier to entry tool that the op is looking for.
@Teknevra this is an excellent idea, and would also be useful for when an instance shuts down so that not all media are lost and cached posts broken.
@reddig33 get ready for #Trump to remove the requirements under the the #ACA ( #Obamacare ) to cover preventative services and the federal regulations that currently protect #LGBTQ folks from #healthcare discrimination
#Gays that enabled #Trump by voting for him, third parties, or abstaining (let alone working in his administration) are traitors to every #Queer person that ended up beaten, jailed, or dead so that they could live in relative peace without the shadow of illness & violence hanging over them constantly. #GOP gays are trash and their betrayals could contribute to us living death / closets/ #DADT / Matthew Shepherd Part II.

@Sunshine #WagnerCollege is a private college affiliated with the fairly progressive Evangelical #Lutheran Church in America. As a college of the Church it should concerned with inclusion and welcoming, not pushing away the vulnerable. How disappointing that the Lutheran community fails at the basic foundations of being Christ-like. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I am not a pastor today in large part due the Church's failures in inclusion.
