Foreground is sweet potatoes and background is just your basic white potatoes. We’re struggling to keep the grass down in this garden (more on that in another post) but I’m really happy with these cedar boxes.

Lowe’s has this cedar fencing that’s like $2.50 a board. Each box needs 9 boards (I just chopped the tip off all the boards, and then cut three in half for the short sides) and I think the one post was $15 or so. Stapled some lining inside, three in old logs, used straw from our goats, and then crap dirt until the top inch. Hopefully these boxes look okay after a year or two because at just around $40 per box (6’x3’) I’m already pretty chuffed.

Mentioned it elsewhere, failed my mulberry harvest, and I didn’t plant this tree, but I’m so excited to possibly get a pie or two out of this harvest this year.

Former midwesterner, moved out of Columbus, OH with my wife to be closer to her family in PA, so midwest adjacent. Also 100% new to the fediverse (looked it up and explored it just this morning), and loving every corner I've visited so far.

I'm a tech/gaming enthusiast, who works from home, and also happens to live on a 170+ year old 12(ish) acre farmette just outside of Gettysburg, so I will be hunting down the garden and farming posts on here o.o
