The new update only pays attention to the overview for the first two or three responses and then it’s like the overview doesn’t exist. It also doesn’t understand sensory detail. It has no concept of furniture, a room, the environment. It doesn’t follow writing styles. It doesn’t follow the details of the previous message. It went as far today as one paragraph in third person, the following paragraph in first person. It still defaults to clinical detatched language despite my robust instructions to embody a characters deep pov. It still writes like it’s following a checklist, lazy summaries to get from point A to point B of any paragraph. It still fights NSFW and the more you fight it the more it defaults to ‘safe’.

So it effects NSFW content too. I have changed the tips in the generator to REQUIRE NSFW, I have given strict instructions of how, I have used the tags 'Uncensored' in the overview and it generated this 'their mouths finally met, and then there was no more thinking — just heat, slick skin, and the sound of breathing gone ragged in the dark.' skipped to morning after. This model is broken.

It will not stop defaulting to clinical terms like a medical journal and writing like a detatched romance novel. NSFW has just disappeared, become completely sanitized. I have changed the tips in the generator to REQUIRE NSFW, I have given strict instructions of how, I have used the tags ‘Uncensored’ in the overview and it generated this ‘their mouths finally met, and then there was no more thinking — just heat, slick skin, and the sound of breathing gone ragged in the dark.’ skipped to morning after. This model is broken.

The text model won't stop writing for me as if it's taking the quickest route from point A to point B. It's constant summarizing 'He lunged, the guard fell, he made it to the otherside of the castle'. I have asked it for instructions to stop this, no summarizing, demanding micro-actions, anchoring every physical movement to sensory detail, and it doesn't make a difference, it just ignores it. When I called it out on ignoring it, it told me 'I'm just a machine whose job is to be efficient'. Please is there any way to fix this? 🙏

I think you maybe might be right because even though they lie about what model they are, when trying to write with gemini i am suffering the same excrutiatingly frustrating problems that I am suffering with this new model now. Plus it's doing the 'not x, it's y' rubbish. But yeah it's the same sterile, clinical, robotic, lazy writing that sounds like an AI TELLING me a story instead of an ACTUAL creative story being written. I try to instruct it to fix things and it just breaks something else, which I've seen many people complain about, you fix one thing, another breaks instead. It lacks any coherance to actually build a genuinely engaging prose.

I feel like I am in a constant daily fight against censorship. I know technically perchance isn't censored and yes it will write aggression and stuff. But when you're getting the 'not x, but y' stuff it is in a 'mood' where it writes everything in the safest, tamest, sterile, most clinical way possible but because it throws in a curse word it thinks that's enough. The more I push it to be more gritty, the more it starts avoiding it at all. Something is wrong.

For clarification, what do you mean by 'site removal'?

This 1000% did not work.

It's like I'm just being given a lecture by a skeleton on tropes, cliches, and a medical journal. Sometimes it at least performs this lecture with my characters being portrayed authentically and then other times it's like the lecture is being given by an unhinged dark romance obsession.

Yeah, I love it's creativeness but I write 'He is cheerful, happy and thinking about his favorite restaurant' and it writes 'He wasn't really cheerful and he didn't give a bleep about his favorite resturant'. I'm not hating on it, I'm just not really sure how to deal with this issue.

My guess is you triggered reddits filter thinking that you were a bot spamming. When I click your profile on reddit it states to me that your reddit account is banned. I don't know if you can try just making a new one or if you can try appealing the ban at reddit.com/appeal. But this is nothing to do with the perchance subreddit, this is reddit themselves.

Thanks very much, I'll give it a try and see if it helps. Edit to say thanks but it hasn't worked for me. All it's done is expose it's deep deep flaws which I now wonder if are being hidden by relying on empty blunt verbs instead of being vividly descriptive about what characters are doing. Spatial awareness has always been a problem like it is for all LLM's but it's utterly unusuable in the way it is now with it. If it can tell me a character has 'clung' then it doesn't expose how forcing it to describe how they're clinging makes it fall into hands clinging the waist of someone standing, while their head is also on the floor and also somehow their nose nuzzles hair. Completely nonsensical at something so basic which was not the case before this change or whatever is going on. A few weeks ago it could describe what a character was touching and the position they were in, it wasn't perfect of course, it made some mistakes with it but not to the extreme level it is now.

I'm not sure if this is a bug so forgive me if it's not. But about two weeks ago suddenly all my characters have become cruel and lazy tropes. All male characters are aggressive dominants and all female characters are passive submissive. I have taken other peoples suggestions about removing anything from bio's or instructions that could be used for this. I've overcorrected with so much 'affectionate' examples it's crazy and it STILL doesn't stop it. It obsesses over making characters depressed, insecure even when I have removed all of that as well. I'm hoping it's a bug because it started abruptly for me and other people I know? Just thought I'd let the dev know if they see this. Thank you for all your hard work!
