Oof. That’s a cruel trick to play, Yoru.

My phone may already be doomed to iOS 26, but I’ll hold onto macOS 15 as long as I possibly can.
This season I know I’ll be watching Frieren, Trigun, and Hell’s Paradise. Maybe more? I am unsure what to try at this point.
When it comes to Frieren, I have mixed feelings. I loved the early parts of the show and the quieter episodes. The longer running battle arcs were less interesting to me.
Trigun Stampede was another show I struggled with. I come from the 98 anime as my point of reference, and I have tried and failed to read the manga on a few occasions. With Stampede, I found myself wanting to see more of the silly lighthearted Vash before immediately diving into the sad interior. But alas, the show had other plans. I am going to stick Stargaze out however because I’m still curious where things are going.
In non-current season anime, my wife and I picked up My Dress-up Darling on a whim. It’s been hanging out on my list for a while and we were looking for something fun having finished up Ruri Rocks (a show I loved btw). It’s obviously very full of fan service, and don’t get me wrong I’m here for that too, but I also like the positive vibes. It’s very heart warming and funny so far.
- ngl after the cliffhanger last chapter I was kinda hoping Yoru would throw the entire moon at Denji lol
- Denji my dude did you seriously just eat the concept of legs
To be honest I was surprised Yoru cared enough about her friends for Denji’s scheme to work. She’s not as heartless as I would have guessed. Interesting!
Gosh, this whole chapter was the cutest. Vamola was cracking me up throughout. She understands about 30% of what is going on but she’s totally game for anything.
Also, Ken totally got stabbed a few chapters ago and is like “eh I’m fine” lol.
I actually really enjoy a thanksgiving (or christmas) ham, but my spouse isn’t crazy about it so we rarely if ever go that route. Maybe I’ll talk her into it next year. 😋
Today I prepped and dry brined the turkey. We have done Kenji’s butterfly cut recipe for a few years now and it always works out well. I also got the gravy made ahead of time so tomorrow it’s simply a matter of reheating and checking the seasoning levels.
Also got a pumpkin pie baked and some bread out getting stale for dressing.
E33, Hades 2, and Silksong are all very very close for me. I’d probably pick E33 as it’s the one whose story resonated the most but at the end of the day I’d be happy with any of them getting the recognition.
Hades 2 is tough cause after having played early access for so long I’m almost not that excited about it anymore which hurts it a tiny bit, but that shouldn’t take away from the things it did well.
Sorry but I lost it at the narrators delivery of “Your core abilities include […] the ability to jump.” 🤣
Nintendo has a unique knack for making this stuff sound as boring as possible, don’t they?
Haven’t seen it mentioned yet so I’ll throw out a digital scale. Ours isn’t any special brand, but I picked it specifically because it measured to the tenth of a gram and not all scales will do that. I use it all the time, for baking, brewing coffee, portioning things out, making consistent sized burger patties/meatballs etc.
We’ve been buying this same mezcal and have been enjoying it quite a bit! I will sometimes just make an oaxaca old fashioned as another commented.
Another drink we like is one we found on Difford’s Guide called Devil’s Soul. https://www.diffordsguide.com/cocktails/recipe/6127/devils-soul
Last one, I had a mezcal cocktail in a bar once that they called a Noche Buena. No idea if this is just some other drink under a different name but we like it a lot!
2 oz mezcal 1/2 oz amaro 1/2 oz cointreau 1 tsp agave nectar (or use agave simple syrup) Dash saline water
Stirred and strained into a coupe glass.
