We don't have to drive goods anywhere. It's all on paper.

If the German company shipping German goods from a German harbor says that the goods actually belongs to their Polish subsidiary, that's Polish goods.

EU is a trade union though, so it's all of EU.

He can't tax one EU country different from others.

Let's say he decides to do it anyway.

Then the EU country with the highest tariff could simply move the goods through another EU country with a lower tariff. All on paper of course.

But anyway, why'd EU even care about domestic US taxes..

Sauerkraut pizza is a thing.

That's a damn good question.

I'm not going to share my thoughts on it, but I will absolutely encourage everyone to think about it themselves.

Ideas can spread but also get corrected when people interact.

It used to be that people talked to each other and set the dumbasses straight whenever they spit out this kind of "politics".

These days everyone is just angry online and they'd rather change their online network than to change their minds.

Someone should have told off Trump long ago. They didn't, and since he chose to communicate official statements on Twitter, instead of passing it through advisers and secretaries who could advise him better, it's only gotten worse.

Fascism is an idea that needs to die, but it's really difficult to confront the idea when the fascists hide in their online safe spaces, like X and Truth Social, where they only interact with bootlickers and block everyone else.

I think the best way to kill fascism is to talk openly about it with other people offline.

They've edited the headline. When I saw it 30 minutes ago it said "joke country" in the headline. It was quite offensive, and all on the editor, so good choice to remove it. He didn't actually call it that.

Anyway, his explanation is still that it's just a joke.

Though Long said he could understand why the comments would have set off a reaction, he was adamant they were a joke and should not be taken seriously.

Maybe I'm polishing my own halo, but I think it's very telling of how old fashioned these people are. Everyone in that kind of position ought to know better than to make jokes by now. Where have these people been for past twenty years? It's just not acceptable. I don't mind a good offensive joke, but there's a time and place for that, and that place is far far away from any media and never to be done in a position of power.

Calling it a joke country isn't much better.

Classic bully behavior. "It's just a joke bro".. then punch you in the face anyway.

For this project, the building cost is expected to be DKK 1 mil. pr. unit. (€ 134000 / US$ 150000)

There are 6 units in each of the 6 structures. The surrounding areas are going to be shared wild gardens.

It's rentals for students though. If you were to build something like this for a regular sized family home, you'd need to at least triple the size and price to own half of each structure.

Quite steep pricing for the construction. However it's going to be owned by a housing association, and it makes sense that way, as a long term investment.

They'll be available next summer, and the signup is open, but with no listed price yet. It's only for active students, so the rent is going to be somewhat below the ordinary market rate regardless of construction price.

It's a wild guess if the northern areas will even be habitable once the ice has melted. Russia's permafrost is also melting and their areas are turning into methane swamps where it's impossible to build anything.

But of course Greenland and Canada will magically turn into palm beach resorts with scuba diving, right?

Trump er jo mere "grab them by the pussy"-agtig.

Jeg håber i hvert fald på at dette blot er en forhandlingstaktik hvor han spiller alt for højt spil, som sædvanligt.

I think the number of nations represented there is more important than the number of soldiers.

I don't know what military operation Trump has in mind, but even his most aggressive war mongers would hesitate to attack representatives from all of the NATO countries at once.
