He did say Americans, but anyway it's a valid question for other countries too.

In Denmark we just introduced the draft for women too. I'm not sure what my girls are going to choose when they get old enough. We do have to the option to deny it simply by claiming to be pacifist, so I'm not worried, just curious on what they'll choose.

Cars sort of create that problem because the mode of transportation separates people in boxes, where we can't hear or see each other. All other drivers are idiots, right?

Compare this frame of mind to the Dutch bicycle intersection where both directions are green at the same time.

Or the famous Shibuya pedestrian crossing.

These get soo many more people from one side to the other than cars can ever achieve.

Even if people where nicer in traffic, cars can not navigate this fluidly. They're simply too big and drivers can't adjust speed and direction fast enough to do it even if they had the space.

Dd you find out what it is?

I'm pretty sure I've had or used one before, but I don't remember where. The top part is for securing a strap or rubber band. As you can see from the wear it's exposed during use, while the bottom is not. The stick has a shape that could be sown into something. My guess is that it is used to close a bag or securing a tarp to a trailer or the hood for a baby pram/stroller. Something to be used outdoors anyway.

Charlie Kirk didn't kill himself.

But almost.

They are so afraid that they pretend to ignore diseases all together.

I just talked to a coworker who has friends out there who spent 7 days to get home being flown ping pong all over the region. It's quite the chaos with lots of price gauging.

Some people and especially old people have a lot of experience in not doing anything. They like to reaffirm their decision.

If he suddenly changed his mind, he'd also have to acknowledge that he had lived most of his life with a narrow mind in all the situations where he chose not to take a chance. It's the sunken cost fallacy.

It's not just old people. It happens all the time in all kinds of ways when someone doesn't want to rigorously investigate their options in a situation and simply go with what they already have. They'll make up excuses for their (lack of) choice afterwards. It could be chosing a restaurant, buying a car, settling in a certain neighborhood or anything really.

Yes, it's probably good fun, but he just made an excellent example of how "gun safety" is often thrown around as an oxymoron by people who don't actually practice gun safety.

In my ears it sounds like "I'm a good driver when I'm drunk."

Udover penge osv. så bør I også overveje at planlægge hvordan I vil bruge tiden. Det giver en masse muligheder, men kan også være en kilde til frustration hvis man ikke har klare forventninger til hinanden. Især hvis pengene er små.

I don't remember ever actually not knowing basic firearms safety, handling and operation

Many weekends I recall spending in middle of nowhere West Virginia getting hammered on weird chemicals that had just been invented 4 days prior with fully automatic weapon

Yes, I am looking at you weirdly.

In a city of billionaires, 10 days of food is about enough for 1 days of food for one of them.

Yes, we have quite an unhealthy alcohol culture here.

The only redeeming factor is that most people make their mistakes learning their tolerance while still being young enough to avoid getting in serious trouble.

If you've never touched alcohol at 18, you might want to be extra careful about it. It's kinda cringe to watch grown ups not knowing their limits, because it's assumed that they should know by now.

My Formula 4s got flat spots, sounding like a moped when I ride the bowl. I'm looking for larger sizes from 56mm upwards. I need mostly for very smooth surfaces and high speed, but sometimes also rougher concrete. I don't have a need for ultra soft wheels.
