First time that I read the article (it's a few years old).

What stands out to me is the following:

a) the one thing keeping heavy monitization and fully eroding of User privacy within the app at bay is the strong encryption - if Facebook finds a way to get rid of it (or maybe they are contempt with the ways they found to link Metadata to users?), that's a step they are going to do. b) the moment one sells the company/ownership switches to a publicly traded company, even when you have employees fighting against it, it goes downhill from there. Even if you are competent and have the willpower and dedication and standing to advocate for the right path, you mitigate at best - and only for some time.
c) and finally the big force in all of that: in the article you'll find Zuckerberg communicating to the WhatsApp that Wallstreet expects growth. Growth that they need to provide by compromising WhatsApps integrity.

Once you are part of the publicy traded world, agency and independency is lost to an extend that is not recoverable. I see it time and time again.

Now I want to know the answer to the clutch question ☺️

That was a great read!

this one is a bit far fetched, but that is part of the fun, isn't it?

So 2 years after Lemmy died, the recorded cover of Bowies "Heroes" got released. The song was, at the time, somewhat disappointing to me, it just did not catch Me. I tried listening to the original, but that was even "flatter". I had no contact with Bowie growing up, so maybe that's why - although I enjoy older music typically. I know that is not a popular opinion :P

But still, every time I hear about Bowie somewhere, I am reminded of the last 2 Motörhead albums, which I both really like. That being said, this one is Queen of the Damned from Aftershock, the second to last Album. Great song!

Just wanted to mention that fortnite does not work on Linux due to anticheat. Reports for game compatibility can be found at protondb

Guess the sidebar could use some description. I scratched my head a bit what this is about 😊

I feel very sad. Whatever happened to you, I hope the pain will vanish eventually.

Depression is the thing I deal with, for now I've got the upper hand. It was not always that way.

I'm traveling until the end of the week, but would be open to text.

It makes Me sad to read what people and life forced upon you.

I wish you love and warmth I will be thinking about you.

Nice observation. Nonetheless it is wrong in any circumstance.

Guess it might be benefitting from fans though 😄

Haha, that also came to mind, it's pretty poor. Paraphrasing: "Users on Metacritic saying it "ruined" the online mode - an indicator that they are very displeased. "

You don't say? 😄

Was visiting a friend today. Their tomcat is super chill and surprisingly indifferent regarding people they did not see before. Goofy floofball with a cute purrrrrr. Beauty ❤️
