I had the same experience until i bought an HP (Omen) gaming laptop a couple of years ago. Even regular Ubuntu didn't boot from USB drive. I had to mess with some kernel parameters (ACPI or something) to even boot it. Unfortunately sometimes you have some hardware or weird bios that just doesn't work. Never had this with any other laptop after

This is a tip for people that don't drive automatic transmission, if you ever try it, put it in R and really floor it. The R stands for racing mode!
For me it's the reason I started playing games again. Have been using Linux forever, didn't wanted a dual boot etc. So when games started to work on Linux I stared to buy and play more and more.

Unfortunately I can't delete Whatsapp any time soon, for a long time I tried to convince my friends to use signal, but I just can't get them to switch. Also basically any handyman, plumber, painter, etc I know uses Whatsapp.
After Russia broke the agreement and attacked Ukraine, the US should have stepped in immediately and this entire was would have been prevented. I mean back in 2014 when the Russians took Crimea.
That's not very fair, the US also promised Ukraine protection if they'd removed their nukes in the 90s...
