"Now you can't even just peacefully drive in your car anymore and do nothing else than driving your own car, which is what they were convicted for - merely driving in their car? Wokeness has gone too far!"

Well, after the rebrand, LMFAO had a few banger hits. I couldn't remember a single good song that ROFL brought out though.

There isn't any obvious way to either see where your low-ass level gang can quest next and there's also no zone where you can keep grinding to build a few levels before moving on like in a Final Fantasy or something. That means while you have a giant freely accessible map, early encounters in the wrong neighbourhood will kill you dead anyway so there's still railroading going on.

I keep saying that humanity's toys do evolve spectacularly while humans are still working on the same basic impulses they've been dealing with for millennia.

Trump is a petty conman who does everything in his power to consolidate as much power in himself as he possibly can so that he can funnel as much money to himself and his gang as he can. That's not new. The environment he's doing in may be more complex, or differently set up than in previous iterations, but the core is depressingly mundane.

Gaza is just people hating people and other people supporting different sides while all sides give each other more reasons to hate each other perpetually, some more war-crimey, some less so. Tragic,, quagmired to hell and back, but not groundbreaking in and of itself.

As for AI, the framework is the usual capitalists trying to convince everybody that their new best revolutionary thing is a word sorting machine that can sort very, very many words now very fast. Trying to cash in on the hype is the eternal constant, the occasion this time is a very sophisticated chatbot/image generator based on all the materials the inventors could get away with stealing.

And climate stuff is just this generation of capitalists stripping the planet for parts while they can get away with it. The scale is bigger, but vulture capitalism is also not even remotely new.

Just like the principle of singular attributability of data via the blockchain is a fancy way of assigning stuff to one recipient. We've had approaches to this before. This time the blockchain's ledger system is the big new anchor for the human element, which will invariably at first be either grifters or people who wanna bash in other people's heads with it.

To be fair, us elders had grifts and money laundering too, so crypto is nothing functionally new.

I'm looking forward to hoyo screwing up and making mistakes. I really like the apology stellar jades. They're effectively conditioning me to cheer for their failures, which, from a PR-standpoint, is genius.

I got the game soon after launch and started a sneaky hacker. Didn't get very far before shelving the game until it was in a better place in terms of polish. Then I recently decided to give the game another chance and pick up where I left with the sneaky hacking. The character seems no longer viable now since my previous approach seems to be limited to however long it takes for the inevitable and unstoppable tracing to finish. Then the game gently pushes my nose into combat and rubs my face in the fact that I have not specced for that.

Is there any way left to level my sneaky hacker through sneaky hacking? Because I did like that playstyle and I don't see myself leveling a fighter. If I wanted to play a shooter, I certainly wouldn't do that in Cyberpunk 2077.

No matter which Top sorting method I select in my profile, the result will always be all of my my all-time top posts instead of a selection based on the selected time frame from the drop down menu. All Top (x) selections seem to only show the uncurtailed Top All Time results while sorting by Old, New or Controversial seems to work as intended.

I am browsing the default lemmy website interface from a Firefox web browser.

Seems like it should and the result should be one. Does mathematics agree with me on that?

While there is no at-will cantrip that directly heals, the unlockable illithid power Transfuse Health lets one heal another character at the cost of half one's current hp. Now you'll be thinking, "that's not infinite", and you'd be mostly right - except warlocks can create 7 temp hp at will with the eldritch invocation Fiendish Vigor. The neat thing about transfuse health is that it does not transfer the healing character's hp to the healed one - no, it subtracts the amount of half the character's current hp and then heals the other character for that, BUT, it starts subtracting from temporary hp! This means that as long as you have 15 hp and 7 points of fiendish vigourous temp hp up, the seven hp that make up half your current actual hp will be subtracted from your temp hp and not touch your real hp, leaving you with 15 perfectly fine and untouched hp. Reapply fiendish vigour and repeat as often as necessary.

It may not be the fastest way of healing, but it is repeatable ad infinitum on other group members and only leaves the healer at 15 hp + 7 temp hp.
