I didn't say you lived in a metro area. I said those distances and travel times are only realistic in the parts of the US people consider very densely populated.

I'm a progressive. Fetterman is in the Senate because of grassroots support from Progressives. That Democrats stumped for him only proves that Democrats will support whomever they need to support to defeat Republicans. Progressives like me thought Fetterman was the man before the stroke made him a Republican. (I didn't know about that whole racist shotgun interaction in 2020 though.)
I remember people liking him because he was an asshole on our side, sticking it to Republicans. I guess an asshole on your side is still, at the end of the day, an asshole. In other words, by no means should Democrats nominate Gavin Newsom for president.
That's how the US is in certain metro areas. In the boonies there are hundreds of miles of rural back roads where people drive 60mph during rush hour.
Are photovoltaics an option for you? I can buy a pallet of 32 of them for about $5k and from what I understand, this is despite hefty tariffs. They're approaching impulse buy territory. That said, I'm capable of installing them myself, which is a big part of the cost for most installations.

A lot of Americans live 30 minutes from the nearest real grocery store.
But yeah they still don't need a lifted truck to go there. It's not like the cashiers at the Wal Mart Super Center are going to be impressed by their Carolina Squat lifted white pavement princess, but that's what they insist on driving.
There should be a carbon tax, but whoever signs it will be the least popular president in history. One of the flaws of democracy is that sometimes the thing that really needs to happen is unpopular with the moronic citizenry that can't understand why it needs to happen.
See the problem is Light didn't use the thing correctly. He could have written, "while suffering from a massive stroke, Senator ___ voted to pass nationalized school lunch." Sure, the killing people sounds fun, but it's what they do while dying that could make the world a better place.

As much as I liked the "massive brain damage causes conservatism" narrative following Fetterman around, I've been hearing more and more that he was always a duplicitous asshole.
Our country needs a way to recall public servants when they betray constituents. Six years is too long to wait.

The president isn't supposed to go after anyone. His DOJ is supposed to enforce the law, and they had indicted thousands of J6ers in what seemed to be the lead-up to The Big One, where charges are brought against the ringleaders. You can say they did this too slowly, but it was literally the biggest case the FBI had ever prosecuted. Spare us this both sides crap.
