My hot take is that we get full automated commercial plane before single pilot.

Single pilot means that there is no way to avoid an air Berlin like mass murder (and being locked alone in a cockpit doesn't sounds great for mental health). No pilot means less risk to have such a scenario

Sure we need risk analysis (accident caused by humans versus humans preventing accident) and most likely newer ATC protocols, and some upgrade in equipments, but I doubt there it a major obstacle.

Can we do like Trump does with F35 and brick them if they use them against EU interest. I feel like Erdogan isn't much better than Putin. Pretty sure he faps on invading Greece and keeping Cyprus

Welcome back,

You'll see the same communities/magazine no matter what's the instance you use. However, some delay due to federation is possible, it's espacially a problem with .world due to their relative weight.

The local feed means you'll see post from your instance, which may-be interesting as you'll see content you like if you choose a thematic instance, but it's not a blocking feature.

Then there is a bunch of weird instance, like grad where right-winger are role-playing being leftist by shit-posting on how much they love Kim il sun or Vladimir Putin. these are defederated by most big instances and you won't see their content (and believe me, you miss nothing)

Just a couple of years back, you would get replacable batteries, at least from "phone shops" with dedicated tools.

Designing a water tight enclosure which can be opened to replace a battery isn't exactly rocket science. It doesn't need to be as easy as a fairphone.

Sure some brands will do malicious conpliance and guess what, people will bux from other brands.

Location is the most iportant, meaning that the realistic option is appartment

  • Can get fresh breakfast on the week-end with a 5 minutes walk, and do not need to plan a weekly grocery trip when I have everything down the stairs

  • Do not need to drive home if I get a drink

  • Have access to tons of activities within a reasonable distance, no matter whether I want to learn Korean, watch stand-up comedy or listen to underground heavy metal

  • Kids can quickly get some autonomy compared to suburb where road are full of cars and parents need a car to go every where.

Considering the low wage in French Academia, and the lack of permanent position (Which used to be a benefit offsetting lower wages) I am not sur it'll attract that much person.

But still a great initiative.

It's great. However, from the french ministère des armées Link I count 3 types of satellites for a grand total around 8 including two dedicated to satcom. (assuming this is up to date, and that all informations are public) It's not a bad number of a "medium-sized nation" but unless other European nation have the same capacities it's definitely not enough to provide 24/7 intelligence to Ukraine

Clear and accessible policies, and in general HR being at least honest and consistent with what's written there. I know what kind of hotel I can book, or whether I am eligible to an upgrade when travelling, and don't have to ask to get my double-pay when working on sunday. It's a pitty that this bare minimum isn't guaranteed in many employers

With my limited experience, (Free flight and powered ultra-light), in most cases it's a genuine mistake, either because you're not familiar with where you are, badly estimated the drift due to the wind, mixed two landmarks, and ended-up in a restricted airspace (Even a simple free flight GPS would solve these issues) or, for commercial flight under ATC supervision you mixed up frequencies and didn't replied to the radio for a while.

An important thing is check whether the plane is OK not replying to ATC may-also mean that you have a fire on board and loss electrical system, or are already burning on the ground (I believe fighter jet were scrambled for the Air-Berlin suicide/mass murder but by the time they were on site, the plane was already on the ground) and most likely capture an image from the cockpit which may be used for further legal developments.

Then in principle, to get your pilots licence, even for an ultra-light you're expected to know that if a fighter jet rock their wings near you it means follow me_

Regarding e-mail provider, I used to recommend proton, but they end-up supporting the current US administration like anyone else, so I would say buy a domain and use the associated e-mail

This is IMO the most awful stuff in these economy,

You have a couple of actors/singers who earn insane amount of money.

Then you have a large chunk who by mixing teaching, local theatre/bars, and some extra, get from a living wage, to a well-paid job.

And finally you have a majority who struggle.

All of that mostly based on being at the right place at the right time, and having the right friends

Which language do you speak? While many employer, especially in qualified field not working with public may accommodate English speakers, it's not as universal as you may think.

In qualified job, expect a loss of salary, well a part of it is covered by healthcare, daycare, school and more but at least at my work rk US laboar is more expensive when budgeting projects

You're an immigrant, expect to deal with all the associated bullshit

It's not like we don't have our share of far right politicians who hate everyone including themselve

Many of us, have read GM-sections in RPG, RPG blogs, forum discussions, and sometimes books about the storytelling art.

All of these contains tons of interesting tips/techniques (and some will contradict each other, you don't GM a gritty mega-dungeon and high-school drama game the same way), so I am curious which ones are your favourite and how do you use them in your game
