Apparently it's a largely right wing instance that allows transphobia and other bigotry.

Huh, had a feeling it might be something like that. I wonder why. That's one hell of a block list though.
This community doesn't load for me whether I try the app that I'm using or the desktop website from Blahaj. Although I can visit the hilariouschaos instance by manually entering the url. Weird. Glad to see this though, loving what I've seen you bring here to Lemmy so far.
I haven't played GTA 5 (or any of the 2D games apart from the GBA release tbh) but as far as dark and gritty goes, I'd say that GTA 4 fills that role for the 3D games, especially the GTA 4 DLC The Lost and Damned. Wouldn't call them cyberpunk though.
This sounds similar but different to another show called iZombie about a zombie that works in a police morgue and gets brains from there (in this universe, zombies only turn feral if they go without brains for too long). Also, a side effect is that she gets flashes of that person's memories after eating their brains and helps solve their murders lol.
I might have to check Forever Knight out.
Yeah this is one movie that I'm definitely ignoring any (early) reviews and shit for until I've actually seen it for myself. Besides the fact that a lot of people are just tired of superhero stuff, the Snyder people are going to look for any and every reason to find fault with this, and I have a feeling that we can expect nonsense from anti woke people too (although that's a given for basically anything at this point).
There's too much extra bullshit in the airways poisoning entertainment in general right now. So even though I've always been inclined to ignore reviews, now more than ever the only opinion that I'm going to trust is my own.
Haha I did not know but that is awesome. Makes the movie even better lol.
Another one to throw into the mix of mentions here. The first Val Kilmer movie that I actually always think of is The Island of Dr. Moreau. A bit offbeat I suppose but one of my absolute favourite childhood movies and I rented the VHS on more than one occasion. Think I might need to rewatch now.
From what I understand, this universe is going to start off with everything already in full swing as far as superheroes and shit goes. Guy Gardner is in the Superman movie as well. So it makes sense to me that Hal has already been around and doing his thing for a little while.
Killing is wrong. And bad. There should be a new, stronger word for killing. Like badwrong, or badong. Yes, killing is badong. From this moment, I will stand for the opposite of killing: gnodab.
Next, these people are going to start going after heavy metal and rap music again.
Thanks! Haven't really ever left. My pattern was like this on Reddit too. I'll go through months where I'm active all day, every day, then a couple of months where I'm being kept busy by something, usually a game (currently Terraria). But I've been lurking. And it's nice to see that the user count is steadily growing and more and more specific interests are starting to pop up as communities.
