My multi tool is usually a SAK deluxe tinker, occasionally a cybertool. I've used all the tools, though realistically I could get by fine without the parcel hook and one of the blades. Pliers are the most useful.

I have a Spirit MX for a more "proper" multi tool, but it lives in my work bag and doesn't get used much.

Congrats from a fellow lefty. I have my fair share of LH knives, but you're right that most of them are going to run you a fair chunk of change (shout out CRK). Kansept's Fenrir should have a LH model for their bolster lock, it's a cool option. And I really want to get ahold of that Liong Mah eutektik. Maybe I just really like front flippers...
