Honestly moving to clangd has got to be the single best thing I've done in C++, it's cross platform and I've found it to be significantly faster, more reliable, and more featureful than Microsoft's C++ plugin by a long shot

If you want to do any loop and sample work FOSS style, then I'd highly highly recommend Bespoke Synth, easily the best FOSS modular DAW out there

It has a bit of a learning curve, but once you're over it then it's a pleasure to use and easily the best open source DAW I've used so far (and I've tried alot)

Biggest thing it has over LMMS: VST3 support, so you can actually use modern synth plugins like Surge XT, or dynamic EQ plugins like ZL Equalizer, or lo-fi plugins like CHOW Tape and MAIM

Although, there is a FOSS workout to get VST3 working in LMMS using KV Element, which you can load as a VST2 that itself can run VST3's.

I use to use that before Bespoke but it was very much a workaround, and I had this infuriating annoyance where KV Element would just send pitch-wheel signals to everything and detune my synths without me knowing, and I could not find any reason or fix, so I just stopped using LMMS in favor of Bespoke

Hope this helped!!!

Um, actually, the tweet clearly says "Florida State University" not "Tesla Cybertruck" so no this wasn't actually an act of terrorism, it was just a peaceful protest instead

Thank you, I'm happy seeing upvote sorting being updated soon

Also I wouldn't be surprised if the memory or something is killing my app

I'm using a Moto G Stylus 2023 with 6gb of ram, running android 14, security patch: UITGNS34.42-86-2-16

There's typically 2 gigs of ram free, tho, but I'm gonna try some stuff like prioritizing the app in the settings and locking it to run in the background

Thank you again!

I was reading a long comment on a post, but then tabbed out for a minute, only to tab back into Voyager and see it reload, and there isn't any way that I know to go back to that post. This has happens numerous times but usually I can just scroll to the post either in my feed or in my upvotes (assuming I upvoted the thing first)

This time however I just can't and it makes me frustrated

Is there any way to see my view history on this app, and if not are there any plans to implement it, and if not still what apps should I use instead that either have this view history feature, sorts my upvoted by order that i upvoted, or just refrains from reloading and dumping my position with no recourse?

Thank you

Might be depression, at least it was for me

I have 2 sides: depressed and repressed

Because you'd have to move your mouse to the new position anyways to paste, so might as well save 1 button press by just click dragging instead

These look kinda like glasses buried in the sand

Eternity hasn't been updated in 4 months, in that time Lemmy itself got some really nice features like scaled sorting and instance blocking, but that's not something that we can do yet since there haven't been any updates

If the current developer simply doesn't have the time to put out updates, that's alright, I want to know if there are any actively updated forks because Eternity is otherwise an absolutely killer app, I adore the customization especially!

Unless there's a big update on the horizon, and afterwards updates become more regular and implement new technologies officially supported by Lemmy, in which case it'd be nice to have regular betas released publicly (I'm actually part of the apps beta program on google play, but that hasn't been updated either) or otherwise posted about on the main sublemmy

I've met a couple other Eternity users in the wild recently, and our consensus is the same: We like the app, alot, but wish it was updated every now and then

If there aren't any updates soon, and development will stay at this silent pace, then I'll probably just try out and use the other foss apps out there

Whatever the case, I still thank the eternity devs for what they do!
