I can say from experience that in at least some corners of social media, (LW for example) the removal of “Luigi content” is strictly because a large amount of it is advocations of violence/murder/assasinaion.

On many social media platforms, that type of content is against ToS because of the laws in the country that hosts the platform that the site is located in.

It has little to do with personal opinion and everything to do with staying within the legal threshold of the region to avoid being shut down.

I’d recommend not recommending assassination as an option. Lemmy World is pretty strict on advocation of violence.

Holy shit….. wait. People are actually trying to edit history and make believe that the events there never happened?

Or are you saying it’s bullshit because the massacre actually happened in a place called Tiananmen Square?

We lost back in November when ninety million people helped MAGA sign us up for this.

You didn’t vote to protect it, I don’t think you get to claim it. You abandoned it.

Discussion over.

I’m going to explain this for you as simply as possible:

So.. Imagine a scenario where a driverless car is rolling towards a baby in a carriage. Now imagine there are 10 people, one of them being you- standing about within eyesight of the car that is heading towards the baby-

In this scenario:

The car = trump.
The baby = our democracy.
The 10 people = the only influence able to change the scenario.

Now, what ties this all together to make it more relevant is that we will now give the people standing about the choice to to push the car into the baby, do nothing, or stand in the way of the car in order to stop it.

This means that:

5 people that will push the car into the baby = Trump supporter.
1 person that will do nothing = you.
4 people that will push the car away = Harris voters.

So now… Here we have two groups of people that have no intent whatsoever to help the child in any way. One- directly and the other indirectly- and only one group that is trying to stop the car.

Those standing around watching, (you) could help stop the car- but don’t. Thereby watching the car roll over the child because not enough people helped stop it.

You made the choice to withdraw your help and thereby share in the responsibility.

He won that tournament in the same way his puppeteer Putin “wins” an election.

It’s blatant extortion now.

It’s absolutely obnoxious having to scroll through the miles of auto-mod nonsense and “cleanup” removals. There’s a few in particular that are spammed constantly.

Can we maybe get a feature to filter what is displayed in the modlogs so that we can use it as a proper reference tool?

When a mod is removed, it shows the info as “Added Mod” and when a mod is added, it shows as “Removed Mod.”

Some removed comments are not clearing from the reported comment queue. They show as red (removed) from the community, but they are not clearing from the list.

I’ve tried reloading the app, but the removed comment still remains in the queue.

Found this song watching the show Suits. It’s gorgeous!

On IOs, If I were to, for example, remove a comment for “misinformation,” when the word is typed out and autocomplete is used, submitting the action via the remove button doesn’t work. Essentially, pressing it does nothing at all. My theory is that It could have to do with the additional space that autocomplete creates, but even backspacing doesn’t correct the issue.

The only way to resolve this is to start over, and manually type out the entire word or phrase without using autocomplete or autocorrect.

Not a huge issue, but I don’t know if this causes other problems elsewhere.

(Admittedly, I know nothing at all about coding… including if that’s even the correct term for it)

A few Reddit apps did this back in the day and it was very convenient. If there were a link to Reddit posted anywhere, selecting it would open the app instead of the webpage.

(Really hope I’m explaining this correctly. I’m not family with the terminology I’m probably needing here)

Is this going to be a thing, or… could it be a thing?

EDIT: This is for iOS by the way.

That PleasantPolitics bot is obnoxious! Also, there’s a few mods that use mass auto-removal bots when someone so much as posts comments that they don’t like.

It would be nice to be able to filter these out of the modlog feed. (If it’s even possible)
