That's been a pretty common commentary, and I get it, but I think there's room for just about all genres - they've done their fair share of horror-tinged episodes over the years.

Agreed - it's pretty unlikely that you'd be able to prove something like that.

I suppose you could try to apply precedents surrounding HIV disclosure, but I think it'd be a tough sell.

Edit: And to be clear, even in that situation, we're talking about disclosure, not actual treatment-related choices.

Are the Als still at McGill

They are indeed!

is their ownership situation stable

As far as I know, but it's not exactly my neighborhood.

what kind of weird run did they go on to make the Grey Cup at barely over .500?

When their starting QB is healthy, they're possibly the best team in the league. For a lot of the season...he was not healthy.

All that said, there’s no doubt a degree of disappointment in the Bombers failure to make it to a hometown Grey Cup, which was undoubtedly imagined locally as a coronation for one of the greatest eras of Bomber football there’s ever been.

"Coronation" is an overstatement, but there were certainly high expectations.

TSN reported Monday that the Argos have received permission to speak to O’Shea and those conversations have begun.

Mmhmm...

The commissioner’s annual state-of-the-league address is always a barometer of sorts about where the league sits and where it is going. Johnston’s first time at the podium this week will be closely studied for clues about what may be on the way.

I look forward to The Discourse.

Strictly speaking, there's no formal rule - you won't find a CBS/Paramount definition of "canon" anywhere that I'm aware of.

In practice, they stick with the tv shows and films.

But they've also worked very hard over the last few years to keep the tie-in novels and things like that "canon-ish," in that they flesh out backstories from the shows, and the shows mostly don't step on their efforts.

It sounds like the podcast is getting that treatment - as far as they're concerned, this is what happened, and they have no plans to contradict it (and, considering the nature of the story, it's not likely to come up one way or another).

The Als do seem like they might have momentum on their side (Alexander's injury notwithstanding). The Riders...maybe it's wishful thinking, but it seems like they might have peaked a little early?

After an all-too brief amount of time on the Lions bandwagon, I have no choice but to throw my full support behind the Als. The Riders winning a Grey Cup in Winnipeg is not a tolerable outcome.

Not a big shock - there have been allegations surrounding the guy for years.

Luv 2 barge into threads with barely-related rants...

They're related to the Silurians, aka homo reptilia, so I would suggest that ship sailed quite some time ago.

He's very obviously being cheeky...

It was certainly the case when I was in school, and that was decades ago.
