I got my first ever "YouTube doesn't allow ad blockers" message on YouTube today. I hit the reload button and my ad blocker caught up and blocked that shit. How's that approach going for you YouTube? I'd sooner stop using YouTube than watch it with ads.

Yeah, "spin" was a stupid thing to call it. We have a nice, hard definition of what "spin" is on a macro scale. Why take a complex property of matter that we don't have a name for, and give it the same name as a fairly common, easy-to-understand phenomenon? Extraordinarily smart people being idiots, honestly.

The thing is, this turd burgler could lose millions a day for the rest of his life and still retire more well-off than just about anybody. When's the last time a truly filthy rich person ended up in the gutter?

Cues! The smaller notes that aren't your part, but are there in case you don't have that instrument in your group. Mostly because my high-school music substitute teacher, who must have been close to 80 (the regular guy had to have an operation, and he was a quick replacement), called them "fly shit". Some of my fondest high school memories are of him telling us all to "play the fly shit". Thanks Herb!

OK! We weren't super active, so it shouldn't be too difficult to just recreate what I had there. I'm happy to see a production community already here. There's understandably a lot of overlap. 😄

Cool! Thanks! I'll have a look.

Hi! I run a small synthesizer community on Lemm.ee, which is unfortunately going the way of the dodo the end of June. I'm trying to find out what my options are for migrating content. As I understand it (my understanding is minimal, really) I can't actually move my community to anywhere else.

I have also heard that the content will still be accessible due to the nature of Lemm.ee, but I don't see how I can make my new account here a moderator of that community. At least the instructions I find online don't see to work for my case. Maybe it's viewable, but no longer editable? I can't find any reliable information.

I'm sad to see Lemm.ee go. It was my home since the API fiasco with Reddit a couple of years back and has always been a supportive and very open instance. My minimal amount of research led me here as a suitable replacement. I'm also from Eastern Canada! Haven't lived there in a while, but it's always a part of me.

Sigh. Bye bye Lemm.ee
