Though that begs the question if it isn't wasteful to save non-potable water when you could save potable water instead.

I agree with you on doxing and am very confused by burning normal people's cars as a strategy.

with sufficient transit

That's an unnecessary qualifier. Cities without sufficient transit should also be car free – and get sufficient transit.

Sorry for going off-topic, but how do you best go about maintaining your blocklist from a UX standpoint? What interface works well for you? It tends to take me more clicks than I'd like to block coms at the moment.

Also, this place feels like exactly like early Reddit, tech savvy, close-nit, united but also divided.

That's very true – and a cool thing about Lemmy. I both hope that you're right that people will catch on and that it will retain a bit of that magic.

If there ever where a time for federated social media to catch on, I reckon it is now. Billionaire owned surveillance capitalism ought to be due for a backlash about now. And if not now, then I wonder if it ever will be.

Honestly, I almost thought it was a little daunting to set up this account – and I had already used Lemmy with another account on the same instance previously. I'm still not fully content with the mix of content I'm getting here (where are the text active only coms?)

Some hand holding is needed for non tech savvy people. And sometimes the similarities to reddit is kind of like faux meat substitutes – inviting unfavorable comparisons.

If that were true, it's a dumb election strategy to sit back and wait while your opponent puts an end to free and fair elections.

I'm not sure what stage of rewilding his garden had reached at that time, don't think there was a lot of moss, mainly flowers and whatnot.
