Honestly I've started thinking the House Reno videos I see online are pure rage bait. I see so many videos of people coming in and tearing out good quality materials, beautiful structures with personality, warmth, and color. They tear all of this out and make everything bland, boring, soulless grey and white. The comments sections are always absolutely flooded with people raging about how awful it looks compared to what it was before and the owners responding all smug like "whatcha gonna do about it? Our place our rules"

And 100% reason to remember the name

I wasn't going for tired defeatism, perhaps I didn't communicate well enough.

I had a run in in the drive thru a couple years back. I pulled into one of the two lanes at McD, and another car went through the second lane. I wait my turn, and then try to pull forward, but the person in the other car was riding up on the bumper of the person ahead of them, like, clearly intentionally making sure there was no room for me to take my turn.

So I roll down my window and call out "Hey, they're gonna get our orders mixed up" and before I'd even finished my sentence the driver GOES BALLISTIC on me. Just screaming "oh my God, really? Really?? Over a burger? Really?? Really? Really??" And I just rolled my window back up. The person drove forward just far enough to keep me from moving ahead, but not far enough to get to the first window to pay. They waited. Waited until the line cleared up. Then they gunned it past the pay window and straight to the food window.

I pulled up to the pay window, rolled mine down and loudly declared "Yeah, could I get my receipt too? I think this person ahead of my is trying to take my food!"

At which point the driver ahead of me peeled out of the drive thru without having received any food.

Window person said that such a tactic had been done a few other times that month by other people.

100% We have to show them that covering for their Republican friends will mean no more career for them.

Yeah, blue could win everything. They could have a supermajority in both chambers of Congress and pack the Supreme court to have an undeniable majority

And the Democrats would still ensure that no other conservatives see any kind of consequences.

Update! I did miss it, but I looked and it has the Marshall Islands, St Kitts and Nevis, and a few other things that tell me that it is at least post 1986, right?

Oh did I miss it?? I'll have to go look again!

Hello Map Enthusiasts!

I was looking through old boxes from my childhood and found my grandfather's old globe. I recall each of us using it to look at different countries and learn where they all are. When I opened up the box now, more than a decade after his passing, I decided I wanted to know more about it.

The label says that it is a Cram Imperial Globe, and I looked up how to date the globe based on which countries are in existence on it. I determined that this globe must have been made between May 1990 and October 1990 because it has a unified Yemen on it, but still has East and West Germany on it.

It's in pretty decent shape for its age I think. There are spots where I think grandpa had to tape the equator back on it haha

Ah yeah I picked a different upgrade

There are some where the True/False logic breaks down and it becomes neither true nor false, or introduces paradox that makes it unsolvable.

I've had a lot of fun playing Blue Prince. You gotta write everything down meticulously.

The only issue that I've consistently run into is the logic puzzles of the Parlor Room. It starts out fine but about mid way into the increasing difficulty the logic just breaks down entirely and the puzzles frequently become unsolvable so you just have to guess which box has the gems.

I'm with you on it. And you can't even have an honest discussion about Breaking Bad with anyone because if you say you didn't like it you're just dismissed out of hand.
