Or better that not everyone and their dog that's well off goes out and buys an 'income property', keeping house prices high and making it that much harder for people currently renting to get a house. I agree that big corporate landlords are worse, but most individual landlords are scum as well
The lawn guy is actually doing something in exchange for that payment. And him not being a lawn guy would probably not make it easier for you to enter the lawn care industry
You realize it's not like only the 1% are climbing Everest? Yes it's expensive but if it's a life goal it's certainly achievable for anyone middle class
