Not like those soviet blocks didnt look depressing in summer. It is much better nowadays tho, be it plenty are still depressive all year round.

Dutch cuisine primarily consists of deep fried food.
Specialities like the frikandel (german frikandel is very different), patat/friet oorlog, waterfiets, kroket, bamischijf, kaassoufle and fried bounty(the candybar). Or this wonderful Arabic/Dutch combination, de kapsalon.
Many people love these foods tho. Well regarded by most tourists.
A dutch restaurant is called a snackbar.
To be fair, mcdonalds in the EU is not nearly the same as mcdonalds in the US.
