That's what happens when tyre face hits tyre face with a collision in this direction. The tyres grip each other and it launches the car coming from behind.

Everything has side effects... It's not your position to say weather they're worth it or not.

All the research shows quality of life increasing with gender affirming care. So, you're suggesting that a temporary delay in bone growth is worth a long term reduction in quality of life...

OK, but the public servants should stop being ridiculous as well.

They're meant to be doing stuff for the public and if they're caught out doing dodgy shit or even just dodging questions, then it should be shared.

That's the beauty of science, it's self improving...

This article specifically, is a meta review of studies that have already been available and all experts in the field should already know (I'm no expert and I've known about this for years) that puberty blockers do this. As with pretty much everything anyone does, there's always a cost and a benefit and you should always weigh them up carefully with big life altering decisions. For people with gender dysphoria some delayed bone growth is no big deal compared to being allowed to be themselves.

Looks like you have no idea what gender dysphoria is or what the current science says about handling it.

No, they just get a hole. It's not like a balloon. Firstly the rubber is very thick and secondly it's got fiber reinforcement all through it.

Definitely Poe's law coming in here. There's too many idiots on the internet so it's generally good to add a /s to be clear.

You think our medical, technological and scientific advances aren't helping society?

I get the complaints about the economy and wealth inequality and environmental impacts from dodgy corporations. But, that's not a technology problem, that's a government/regulation problem. We need to attack the bad practices of corporations and the ineffectiveness of government to do anything about it, not people who have found a new tool to be useful for their work.

No one quoted any piece. Heard immunity is a fairly simple concept about preventing the spread by having most people immune to it, so babies and others who can't be vaccinated are unlikely to ever be exposed to it.

It's not about mutations, but it is another issue if you allow something to spread it will have more opportunities to mutate and become more virulent

This is not about the TSA line, this is a chat that most people would presume to be private

Yes, some healthy scepticism is great and very valuable. But, you do need to put some trust in experts, they are the ones who know the field well enough to share the important parts. When it comes to the mRNA vaccines, they were understood well enough to be almost certain that the risks of catching COVID far outweigh the risks of the vaccine, especially once you consider heard immunity and the impact it has on people at risk who can't take the vaccine. So at that point it becomes clearly the safest choice to get everyone to take it.

We were unable to study more refined and nuanced measures that may be more affected by GLP-1 use such as self-esteem, locus of control, happiness, relationship status other than marital status and relationship satisfaction

Looks like there's some big gaps in this study, so more research is needed. Anecdotally I'm sure it's been helping my mental health and self esteem.
