LOL The American government just can't help itself, huh? Truly, the dumbest administration of all time. The Americans have successfully united Western and Eastern Canadians, something they should be very scared of since we never got along. Although the laws have been controversial, you can't say Quebec hasn't done a great job resisting Anglophone hegemony, and I suspect America will not be the exception they're hoping for.

Yes, it is. It's the reason Graphene says themselves. Graphene is all about reducing potential attack vectors, de-googling just happens to be in line with that goal. An unlocked bootloader is a massive security vulnerability.

...Obviously? Big Oil has the government by its balls. A lot of our GDP has to do with oil.

The justice system needs to refocus to rehabilitation first. This punitive system benefits nobody. Of course making people live in grey cells where all their humanity is stripped from them doesn't make them better. It was never supposed to.

The Finnish model is obviously more successful and beneficial to the community at whole.

I want houses 100% decommodified. If decommodified housing is a charter violation (it's not) then it's time to change the damn charter. We're not the states bud, I'm not gonna treat it like some holy document.

Just curious, do you know what the "ml" in "Lemmy.ml" stands for since you're defending landlords?

Yes, because they allow you to re-lock the bootloader after flashing a custom ROM. They're also pretty trivial to unlock the bootloader on in the first place.

Private equity firms should not be able to own houses. There's homes, they're being bought and scalped essentially. And since renting is so ludicrously profitable most buildings end up being rented out by these massive firms rather than sold.

There is no law of nature that demands this. These rules were written by people. They can be changed and bent by people as well.

You're gonna be seeing a lot of changes very soon. Don't go thinking the neoliberal status quo is some default state of the world. The US is fascist now.

During the election cycle he said "I want generals like Hitler's generals" because in his previous administration all his military officials expressed too many concerns about his decisions.

At this point I don't know that the people that would say no are even still there. He's purging the government of dissidents. We have to prepare for the possibility that they will go through with it.

You can't think like this anymore. We are dealing with fascists. We are bordering Germany pre-WWII. Any nonviolent action that will give us an advantage in a theoretical conflict is necessary.

Nope. There is still a big stigma. I report nothing.
