Crazy to think that US is only 248 years old. You had a good run.

I want to say it's mainly because of the belief part I said because science is a methodology so either the vaccine works or not and no belief is required. But in truth because not all comments/downvotes did not elaborate on their reasoning I am not 100% sure. I just deleted the comment anyway and reported the more hateful ones anyway. Cheers for your response though.

All good I deleted the comment.

I have to say the point where you say I am sounding like a republican, yet the one thing they do constantly is blame others constantly for their failures, something I would hope the dem voters or non voters to not fail at. The fact that the Reoublican campaign messaging was pretty blatant in their authoritarian, mysognistic and racist messaging speaks volumes for the voters who did not vote or voted for Trump. That is a failure on them.

Like I said earlier if one side is that blatant in their cruel hate yet the other side was not “compellng”, the US definitely deserves what its reaping right now.

Your argument is putting all the blame on the Dems, when a lot of people (roughly 36%) did not vote. I think people are blaming the Dems too much and not looking at why they did not vote, with reasons ranging to not being in a swing state or Kamala not being compelling. Why does a person need to be compelling when the other party was saying authoritarian, racist and mysognistics things?

Like wtaf, you need the Dems to be so dam perfect and hold them to such a high standard but can't seem to hold the republicans/conservatives to that same standard. Yet it’s always the Dems fault for not getting through or their messaging. I think the voters and non-voters are the ones that need to wake the fuck up for even allowing this to happen and stop blaming others for them not paying attention to what was actually being said or done by your now authoritarian administration.

No this fall squarely on the voters and the none voters in my opinion.

I hope our mandatory voting means we are less likely to vote Dutton in. Hopefully whats happening in the US is enough of a deterrent for those of us actually paying attention and not wanting that BS to rip through our safety nets. Sure if someone wants to audit the government agency with forensic accountants by all means, but we don't need the same BS that Elonia is pulling and we certainly don’t need to be repeating any of the backwards US policies they are enacting.

I am leaning towards them doing this regardless of what the Democrats did. Look at all the other norms that they have broken that was not preceded by something that Biden or Democratic administration did.

What allowed and gave them the courage to do this was their confidence that they could act fast enough to enact project 2025 andnhabing all the pieces in place like the supreme court.

You are correct, science is a methodology and not a belief system.

I have not watched it but was the booing coming from the cave troll?

Although Biden and the democrats definitely did not handle the situation ideally at all, the current escalation with this can only be put at the Republicans and the current administrations feet.

In saying that it was still a mistake to have voted Trump in at all.

I for one feel like we need to shift away from the US. Cut our losses on the AUKUS and position more closely with Canada, UK and New Zealand. Most of our trade is Japan, South Korea and Chine so makes sense if we even move closer to them as well. I would not be fussed either way as long as it was away from the US.
