I think there might be an inkling of a possibility that this person took the action deliberately, knowing some exciting things would happen to their images that they could then write a better article about.

(It doesn't mean it is not a real problem of course.)

Not necessarily. A lot of mystical destiny comes in a positive or a negative form, and it's up to you which one you choose.

Khashdrahr stopped translating and frowned perplexedly. “Please, this average man, there is no equivalent in our language, I’m afraid.”

“You know,” said Halyard, “the ordinary man, like, well, anybody—those men working back on the bridge, the man in that old car we passed. The little man, not brilliant but a good-hearted, plain, ordinary, everyday kind of person.”

Khashdrahr translated.

“Aha,” said the Shah, nodding, “Takaru.”

“What did he say?”

“Takaru,” said Khashdrahr. “Slave.”

“No Takaru,” said Halyard, speaking directly to the Shah. “Ci-ti-zen.”

“Ahhhhh,” said the Shah. “Ci-ti-zen.” He grinned happily. “Takaru—citizen. Citizen—Takaru.”

“No Takaru!” said Halyard.

“Drop dead,” called one of the rock throwers. Reluctantly, surlily, he came down to the road and moved two wheelbarrows very slowly, studying the car and its occupants as he did it. He stepped to one side.

“Thanks! It’s about time!” said Halyard as the limousine eased past the man.

“You’re welcome, Doc,” said the man, and he spat in Halyard’s face.

Halyard sputtered, manfully regained his poise, and wiped his face. “Isolated incident,” he said bitterly.

“Takaru yamu brouha, pu dinka bu,” said the Shah sympathetically.

“The Shah,” said Khashdrahr gravely, “he says it is the same with Takaru everywhere since the war.”

I do think it makes some kind of sense to be at least a little secretive about White House trash, if for no other reason than that it will attract random people who want to poke through it out of sheer curiosity. I think the sinister part is the why this particular trash is noteworthy to poke through, not the idea of just wanting to discourage that with White House trash in general.

Kirk was kissing black ladies back when that was basically illegal. What the fuck is this? Don't blame the "they put politics in my Trek" crowd on Trek crowd, man, those dudes were always just idiots.

You can absolutely make things that both taste good and also don't cause cancer. This isn't like "being vegan will extend your lifespan so everyone has to be vegan" type of thing, it is very directly a specific preservative they chose to put in that is straight-up killing people.

The one thing that this whole analysis is missing is this: There is a ton of work to do. The oceans are dying. The planet is boiling. The garbage is stacking up, endless and endless. There are crimes big and small going undiscovered, or un-processed and dealt with in a trustworthy fashion if they are discovered. There are wars, there are dangerous materials that need to be removed from the soil and the rivers, and the policies need to be set up and enforced to stop their cousins from replacing them within the year. WE'RE NOT FUCKING DONE. This illusion is wholly wrong that capitalism has created, that it is fine to drive the car off the cliff as long as we keep paying salaries and dividends up until the moment of impact comes

Yes, we've gotten more efficient and powerful in our ability to translate a human into an effective change in conditions at the earth's surface. But the problems have gotten bigger, too, and more urgent to the point that they threaten our entire species. Just because we can now keep growing the food and doing layout for the advertisements with only 15 hours a week, doesn't mean that's all we need to fucking do.

There is a vital question coming up. When the machines do all the work, does that mean everyone eats? Or no one?

Right now it is "no one" roughly speaking. That must change. There is no future for anyone there, just nightmares unfolding and unfolding.

It's not quite that... the NYPD has more than twice as many employees in New York as ICE has nationwide. Police forces in American megacities are sort of equivalent to the whole militaries of some small countries. That's why events like this are a real good thing. This one, at least as much as is shown in this clip, is more the leopard trying to eat the face and getting slapped away.

This is the kind of factor that Gene Sharp means when he says that dictatorships can collapse literally in weeks or days when their support goes away, given the right kind of circumstances.

They can 100% tell you verbally through the door “You are under arrest,” and at that point, staying inside your house is obstruction. This idea that by making it physically difficult for the cops to put their hands on you, you’re putting yourself in a better position legally or practically, is 100% wrong.

Lol, no they cannot….. Not unless they have an arrest or search warrant.

I don't think you understand how a cop telling you "you are under arrest" works, and I don't really want to have an extended back and forth with you about this. You can read the links I sent, if you want general guidance. Cheers.

Look into the history of eminent domain too see (historically) just how receptive land owners have been to selling their land to the government.

I've been on a jury for an eminent domain case, I am familiar. Usually that's when the government needs a specific piece of property instead of just wants to buy some kind of property in general.

England has done this, and it's worked. I'm done speaking with you about this. Have a good weekend.

Context: Yesterday, one of his 40-month subscribers called him out for being evasive about CollarGate and it clearly messed him up that he couldn't simply dismiss them as being Mossad.

When teachers rely on commonly used artificial intelligence chatbots to devise lesson plans, it does not result in more engaging, immersive, or effective learning experiences compared with existing techniques, we found in our recent study. The AI-generated civics lesson plans we analyzed also left out opportunities for students to explore the stories and experiences of traditionally marginalized people.

The allure of generative AI as a teaching aid has caught the attention of educators. A Gallup survey from September 2025 found that 60 percent of K-12 teachers are already using AI in their work, with the most common reported use being teaching preparation and lesson planning.

Without the assistance of AI, teachers might spend hours every week crafting lessons for their students. With AI, time-stretched teachers can generate detailed lesson plans featuring learning objectives, materials, activities, assessments, extension activities, and homework tasks in a matter of seconds.

The Government Media Office revealed in an official statement that the Gaza Strip is facing the largest construction and humanitarian disaster in modern history. The volume of rubble resulting from the war of extermination waged by the Israeli occupation two years ago has exceeded 70 million tons of rubble and waste, including thousands of completely destroyed homes and facilities.

The statement emphasised that the widespread destruction has turned Gaza into an environmental and structural disaster zone. The destruction is invariably hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid and obstructing rescue and relief efforts. It also noted that the Zionist occupation is deliberately preventing the entry of heavy equipment and machinery needed to remove rubble and recover bodies by continuing to close the crossings and preventing the entry of engineering materials and supplies.

Gaza under rubble

The office explained that initial estimates indicate the presence of approximately 20,000 unexploded ordnance left over from the Israeli bombing, including bombs and missiles that require precise engineering treatment before any rubble removal can begin. The statement warned of the imminent danger these explosives pose to the lives of civilians and workers on the ground.

The Gaza Government Media Office also called on the international community to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and pressure the Israeli occupation to urgently open the crossings and enable the relevant authorities to begin immediate rubble removal and reconstruction. It emphasised that any delay in this process would mean the continuation of the disaster and the escalation of health and environmental risks.

The office indicated that government agencies are working on developing a comprehensive national plan for rubble management, which includes identifying areas of accumulation, dealing with hazardous waste, and developing a plan for recycling and temporary storage, ensuring the gradual and efficient return of life to the Gaza Strip.

The statement concluded by emphasising that the massive destruction and the occupation’s responsibility for this disaster require urgent international action, and that continued global silence constitutes complicity in the ongoing crime of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
