Where would I read more about these developmental stages? I've not heard of them before and want to read more. I have a minor in child psychology from university, but that was so long ago my textbooks were on papyrus scrolls and I've not really kept up with the literature

Our brains only reach peak maturity after 25, in some cases later than that! A mature brain can better navigate the complexities of life and the education system.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with changing ones path at any age. If you find a better path, take it!

This is great, and the easiest answer is to just water fast for three days before and keep fasting during. I've done week long fasts before, it's kind of gross at first but after the first few days you get into keto and get energy back as you start to burn fat stores for energy

Donating blood is linked to overall health and longevity. One leading theory is the removal of heavy metals and plastics from the bloodstream.

Time to make your own keyboard! If you don't have a 3d printer you can buy one online. Then you need just wires, switches, and a raspberry pi pico and you can make one any way you want!

Not 100% programming but I've been getting into homelab stuff lately. Yesterday I got Fedora installed on an old MBP, and I'm hoping it'll be a good moonlight client to my main gaming desktop.

Now the living room TV can be run from the MBP and folks can still watch TV while I'm gaming. Then if I'm in the mood I can do couch gaming.

The first attempt last night worked so well! I was shocked to be playing a shooter like Just Cause 3 without any visible lag. Very impressive!

For programming, it's time I hosted my tarot card website on my home Ubuntu server. It's been a few weeks of testing the site just by running it from the command line. I'm still a little shaky on the hosting stuff, but I think I'll use a systemd service to ensure it starts up when the server reboots.

Dark Forces!

My favorite achievement was beating the whole game with the starter pistol. The final boss took so much ammo! Just kept running and gunning. I think the melee Dark Trooper Mark 1 was the hardest though, thing would just bum rush you the whole fight.

That was probably my first shooter, such a great game.

I went looking and found the Cosmos tool for customizing a Dactyl Manuform, that's what convinced me to make one.

I was able to measure my finger bone lengths and customize the keyboard to match. Very cool stuff!

COOKING FOR ENGINEERS!!!

I learned how to cook from this site like 20 years ago! I still use that format on my home recipe cards sometimes, but now I've just gotten so used to it all recipes look like this on my head. Great format, taters guna tate.

The real site also includes a paragraph description, this is just a quick reference card that's assuming you have already cooked the recipe a few times, not great for learning it the first time.

I got this for $30 from a neighbor. It was missing a spacebar spring and needed a good cleaning but now it works! I've been using it for journaling for like three weeks now. Great fun

Based on this photo reference, trying to warm back up my watercolor skills after a few years hiatus. I feel like this isn't my best but I had fun and finished it anyway.

Suggestions for improvements welcome!

donated blood and I'm not feeling it tonight, so we went with a quick idea. If you can, donating is really good for your health! It's really the only way to remove heavy metals and microplastics from the bloodstream so even just for greedy reasons it's a good idea! But also be a hero!
