That's the issue here, we techies are not the target audience anymore. Back when we started using Windows it was aimed at us because you had to understand it to use it. It's dumbed down because it's not made for people who care how it works or who want customisation.

Yes! I was getting ready to be annoyed by this post before I got to the main response because there are so many snarky edgelords online who have decided to make everything is shit and nothing less than a complete overhaul of global economics will placate me their personality. Just because shitting on things makes you feel good doesn't mean it's helping.

Stop making stupid generalisations about generations like you're some kind of enlightened genius. Kids are always stupid, old people are always stupid, everyone's stupid, especially you!

Buying food must be exhausting. We know Nestlé is bad, but how do you manage to check the parent company of every single food item and go through all the execs' behaviours to know if they meet your moral standards?

I hope you thoroughly review the board of executives of every company that provides every product you use

You shouldn't base your browser usage on whether or not the boss is a bigot. How many CEOs of big tech companies do you think are lovely people? There are plenty of real reasons not to use Brave, the founder being a knob is just the icing on the cake.
