I can see by the way you’re pussyfooting around this, you’re just racist.

but these power tripping fascists will think twice about oppressing a well armed proletariat or feel the wrath a caring community can unleash. Remember these agents are not state level authorities, they're federal.

And some state government agencies are already fighting back. But, as always, the people have to demand it. Its easy to to kowtow to the wims of the fascist government- just look at a vast majority of the dems in congress- but if you demand this at the state, county, and city level, they are more likely to listen.

And yes, it is your right in most open carry states to stand with a gun on you near a law enforcement officer who is in the process of their duty, as long as the officer does not perceive you as “interfering with their duty”. You could even record them in many states.

What exactly makes you say that?

I’m not enough of a SpongeBob fan to know that, so thanks.

How did your senator respond?

It’s right after Squidward’s birthday, which this monster also celebrates.

Then are toads specialized frogs? How does that work?

I was thinking the north west was looking pretty bare too. Some in Montana, but that’s all.

And what are you doing to ensure dems don’t fuck it up again if we have an election in 2028?

I use the Aceto Balsamico de Moderna from Trader Joe’s to make salad dressing and it’s amazing.

A person’s hand holding Trader Joe’s Aceto Balsamico de Moderna in front of a shelf with them.

Other than that, I’m not a huge vinegar fan.

What’s with the text size / font inconsistency?

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! 😁

When: Saturday, April 5 12 – 2pm CDT

Where: Office of Rep. Zach Nunn 400 Locust St Des Moines, IA 50309

About this event Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. Des Moines is fighting back!

They're taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our clean air and water, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.

🚨 On Saturday, April 5th, we're taking to the streets to fight back with a clear message: Hands off! 🚨

📍 Where: Outside the Office of Rep. Zach Nunn
📅 When: 12pm, April 5, 2025

This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.

A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

This song makes me think of the strength of community and the power many twigs have when bound tightly together.

First, I’d like to say how much I appreciate the Thunder app. It had been overall great!

Lately, just in the past couple days, I’ve been having problems with it showing some images. Most noticeable is the Hexbear stickers.

This is what it looks like on my mobile browser:

And this is how it looks in the Thunder app lately:

As you can see, it isn’t all of them, only some of them that won’t show. It seems like it is only happening in more recent posts, and seems to be mostly the hexbear stickers, but it also seems like some articles’ thumbnails and some uploaded pictures are broken too.

I was wondering if this was happening to others, if there’s a quick fix I could try, or if anyone knows the issue before I submit it as a bug on GitHub. Thanks!

Edit: Can I get some feedback on the downvotes? Is it just because you guys don’t like Hexbear? Because that’s one of the reasons I use Thunder. If it’s something else, like this is a dumb question or “duh, that’s a bug, why not just submit it?”, please let me know. I’m just trying to do the right thing and not waste anyone’s time.

Trump backtracks on campaign pledge to bring down grocery prices

The president-elect walked back what was always a wildly unrealistic campaign promise.

Dec 12, 2024, 10:19 AM ESTUpdated 10 hours ago

President-elect Donald Trump admitted in an interview with Time magazine that it will be difficult for him to reduce consumer prices, contrary to statements he made on the campaign trail this year.

Trump told Time in an hourlong interview for its “Person of the Year” feature that his presidency wouldn’t be a failure if he failed to bring the price of groceries down.

“I’d like to bring them down. It’s hard to bring things down once they’re up. You know, it’s very hard. But I think that they will,” Trump said, according to the transcript.

Trump is right that it’s very hard to achieve across-the-board price reductions. Curbing inflation is only a matter of slowing the rate of price increases — actual economy-wide price drops typically don’t happen outside of a massive economic downturn.

Nevertheless, Trump repeatedly told voters during the campaign that electing him president would cause prices to tumble.

. . .

“We will cut your taxes and inflation, slash your prices, raise your wages and bring thousands of factories back to America,” Trump said at a Georgia rally in October, reciting a line he used in speeches at several other events.

This topic will be about what policies you feel are important for this new political party. Don’t be afraid to downvote to disagree, but remember: more can be done with discussion, debate, and constructive criticism than downvotes alone.
