The Dragon book is often the holy grail for compiler construction.

In the class I took on programming languages we used Concepts, Techniques, and Models of Computer Programming

If it can be sent by mail it is probably not a Keter class object. Object class does not imply danger level

With you there. The fact that he'd tell his story when it isn't universally applicable to everyone is frankly ridiculous, and it is very rude of him to have personal experiences that don't fit into your world view
