You can alternatively put a tariff of 20% on Coles and Woolworths.

So, every 5th item is free and you don't need to scan that.

There's one-off, cash grabbing sales of public assets, many of which are short-sighted and stupid.

Then there is the sale of the Darwin port, which added a whole other level of stupid on top.

Everyone involved with it should be forced to do the Game of Thrones walk of shame.

Don't forget daylight savings ends Sunday.

Fix your clocks and change the batteries in your smoke alarms 😁

The rule of thumb for exotics/classics is that you should budget the same amount as the purchase price for maintenance.

That excludes insurance, which is usually at least 10% of the purchase price per year.

It also excludes depreciation, and mileage on exotics/classics is a killer.

Taking the above into account, I'd only think about a Maserati as a disposable car lol

Mmmmm. Have Canadians considered that these USAians might try to enter their country?

They may need to look at ways to prevent this, idk, maybe like building a wall? Or tariffs. Tariffs work for everything, though I don't really know what they are and can only spell it because of autocorrect.

'The "Sideways Snag" so it can't be used like I suck cock' is always going to win..

Though the "When you take a sip of peasant's beer, don't get beer foam on your face because it looks like you got facialed and enjoyed it too much' is not far behind....

I'm becoming disturbed about the number of interviews that Senator Collins is being required to give....

The 'front is falling off' too many things.

BTW, if anyone wants to give up smoking, I highly recommend Allen Carr's book 'Easy way to stop smoking'. I know a couple of 20+ year smokers that tound it helpful when they decided "I've had enough, it's time!"

You can find PDF's available for free to download or borrow, eg at the Internet Archive

I'd avoid the Allen Carr site as content appears quite recent, is expensive, and Allen Carr died in the early 2000s.

Sometimes I wonder if the real.addiction isn't the government addiction to the tax revenue on smoking products.

Has the price for a pack risen because they are trying to disincentivise smokers, or because there are less smokers,so they raise the tax to keep the revenue flowing.

TBF, some of our tech laws are stupid, eg, the government can force an Aussie tech worker to insert a backdoor in code, and they can be jailed if they talk about it.

But they're not discriminatory. They are equally stupid for everyone.
