Im not sure where you get your info from but its wrong. If you set your resolution to something lower and you’re displaying on a higher resolution screen the image quality is going to suffer. Dont do things the wrong way, doing things the wrong way isint “unique” or “just the way I like doing things” its wrong and if its not immediately causing problems itll cause problems down the road.

Its not the same result lol its the incorrect thing to do. Lowering the resolution fucks the image. You need to scale instead to maintain resolution and image quality

Sometimes the only option is to buy the cheap shit too and it pisses me off. Theres so many times where I want a quality version of some tool or item and I can only find the item in cheap materials barely different than any other version. Ive started even designing my own stuff and going through sendcutsend or having it manufactured otherwise

Odysee is cool but is vulnerable to the same issues that youtube has iirc. Peertube I think is a federated version that would be less vulnerable

Iirc they just check the date to make sure you arent using an old receipt so that might explain why they look at it so briefly, not that they really get paid enough to do anything more
