They’re loud, and the construction of them is pollutes the air with dust and debris. I read a story where someone’s well water and pipes were ruined by all the increased sediment

Progress is slow and it’s important to not give up at how slow it is, not that you are but I know it’s easy to get disillusioned.

I don’t know if I see one of those having the support or interest to open one, especially in red states where it would anger the politicians. I’m hoping for the Satanic Temple, personally.

Me and everyone I know has absolutely no means to just up and move to another state and find employment, a place to live that’s affordable, and the moving costs. We can’t afford to flee for safety

Not sure what the link is for, I’m fine with people using it in their own life and media. But using it referring to me or in reference to lesbians makes my skin crawl as someone who used to be called that by homophobic teenagers

I’m personally kind of reminded of how “faggot” and “dyke” are being “taken back” and used jokingly/sarcastically, but I still get really uncomfortable if someone uses them with me. They’ll say “oh I don’t mean it offensively!” But it’s not really up to you to decide what’s offending another person or not.

It was used heavily as a slur/insult for a very long time

And if they’re into politics, it will be a bubble as well. Not even left/right. It’s a bubble of your specific flavor of politics/humor. Because also political discussion and humor go hand in hand now at all times, apparently.
