"Even the gun control issue, which is the most conflicted on this thread"

I've long been convinced a lot more Democrats and Progressives could make it much further on other issues if they simply sat down on the 'Gun control' issue. To me it seems like a rallying cry of a wedge-issue that gets used to make sure they don't have to try and address all those other things listed. It also guarantees a spike in gun sales every time they make a public statement about the issue.

yeah, I had found that gun control rate highly suspect.

When I started to learn about it i thought it was the first account I had heard of documenting precisely why a country should never allow unchecked immigration... -Not that the palestinians were given much of a choice by their british colonizers.

"That story about Dr. Rogozov always struck me as something superhuman. "

It actually says near the end of the article that Rogozov and Gagarin (who flew 16 days later) both served as models for the Soviet superhumans mentioned in propoganda. It's also probably why some countries now make appendectomies compulsory prior to visiting Antarctica.

If we wait until an injury or condition is imminently life-threatening then the hospital is legally obliged to treat regardless of an ability to pay and that's one reason people wait. Also, insurance often penalizes (by paying less) for ER visits that turn out not to be emergencies. The thinking is that you should have gone to your doctor who's booked-up six weeks out instead.

if any blood tests are involved then that alone can send it into the 1000's. -I've had firsthand experience with that.

It's not hard at all. -If one has a PhD in the hard-sciences and at least $500,000.00 in savings prior to turning 30yo

I can respond with 👍 and if people don't like it then next time I probably wouldn't respond to there texts with anything at all. The thumbs up IS me putting in the extra effort to acknowledge & respond to received messages. Also, it was my avatar on my previous college online profile.

Just try to remember that there is almost always more than one way to interpret a body of text even if it's a single character.
