"Broken window theory".
Yes, was also thinking along that line.
That would also mean that the green bands covering the stuff up are a sensible measure.

Ok, so we can rule out some influencer shit going on that I had in mind.

Still... perhaps it is because we don't have any bamboo around were l live, as I still don't get the "why".
Is it easy to carve? Some eastern tradition? I would never even consider it, also as bamboo doesn't even look like a good place to carve something, not to speak of being the garden part of a freakin' temple.
Or is it because bamboo is generally seen more as a fast-growing throw-away item?

According to a different source (german) I found, they plan to restrict access at certain times, cordon off some areas, and provide more active staff.

If this question isn't fake, it shows how senselessly polarized pictures drawn by both sides have become.

Joke is obvious, I think: Last Supper.

Interesting side fact:

One of these carpeted kitchens was big enough that it occassionally served in a secondary function as a guest bedroom with an inflatable two-person bed.

Sleep well!

Funny thing is, of the 5 flats I rented in the past, two of them actually had carpeted kitchens.
And also the same kind of grey carpet.
Seems to have been a thing at some time, for reasons unknown...

That's odd. No priority mail option in Germany. And also, "priority" is not even a German word.
Who was the sender of the letter? Printed postage stamps are used by large institutions that do the printing themselves on site.
Perhaps they just printed an added "priority", taking chances that it then might get handled faster in the destination country. Worth a try :-)

One thing to keep in mind:
To my knowledge the 1.25€ letters are not "priority" (don't even know of such a thing existing at all...)
Judging from the identically priced postcards I regularly send from here (doing postcrossing), it might take weeks for them to arrive.

Time to say good bye to your coral reefs.
We are doing that to our alpine glaciers over here.
Tipping points actually increasingly starting to tip, who could have guessed that...?

Probably would be even more effective to say they speak British.
