Macron is not showing some balls, you dont have to be a super genius to see the wind shift. The only reason he ever took side against Palestine until then is because he do not want to hurt his US masters.

Now that Trump is giving a big fuck you to the whole world and actively breaking his own economy it's not really surprising to see him trying to distance with the atrocities he has covered and actively defended for US interest.

My friend US has no lesson to give about caring for the weak. You've are constantly electing people that prey on weaker countries and your own people. Just look one second at how are treated weak in America, do they get free healthcare ?

The whole american 'free' mindset is about trying to get over and if not you are stupid, in the 'civilized and elegant' way that is the market.

I dont know much about Russian culture but from what I know how US culture this is called projection.

45min-1 hour for one way to work is already what I do with public transport and it considered kind of standard time of commuting in Paris. In bike it is harder I have to admit you have to be willing to spend the time and have the physical condition to do it. The pro of taking public transport is also you can do other things while transporting even if limited but it is less tiring than driving a car or bike :)

15 mile with an electric bike and good infrastructure that let you go fast is doable. And electric bike is already so much better than a car because it weight much less and as such consume much less. But I agree overall it does not replace a train because people won't cycle when it rains.

I did not at any point defend Russia by saying there is some social policies in Russia, it is common sense to understand that Russia is not inherently evil and is defending what it's current leaders see has their country interest like every other country.

It is the same for US I do have the capacity to differs the people of US from what their leaders are doing because they think it's the country best interest.

Now think 3s on how you see Irak war veteran vs how you see current soldiers for Russia war in Ukraine.

If you are not brainwashed are you able to tell me this the same and they have the same responsability in not going against their leader because they should know their cause is unjust ?

Yes I think you might have misread me that's what I said US = good, China, Russia = bad, you = freethinker not brainwashed 👍

Thanks for your contribution

Never forget you're speaking to brainwashed ppl that thinks China and Russia are evil and they are good.

I had the most histeric discussion with people asking to to cite one leftist policy in Russia like this the fckin Mordor and they do not provide healthcare for their citizen but instead send them to the mine or whatever

The brain activity of average American is a flat line at this point

Hey, hope you'll learn to deal with self destructing habits, every steps in the right direction matters !

And dont be too harsh on yourself, perfect is ennemy of good as we say in France, especially if its derail you from wanting to get better :)

I like Lemmy more because it is more aligned with my interest, notably Tech and Linux. I also like to have smaller communities in which your interaction have impact and are being read instead of being lost in thoudands of comments.

Welcome :), if we're being honest lot of the tracking still happens on Linux once you open your web browser but it definitively feel nice to be liberated of the one at OS level and a solid start for caring about online privacy
