I was just thinking about this yesterday. AI has not helped me in any way shape or form. I don't need it, i don't want it, and it should NOT be forced onto people.

I grew up teaching myself how to research and use Ask Jeeves, Yahoo!, AOL, and now Google, Duck Duck Go. I don't need a dumb AI to tell me what i can find myself.

The mounting point changes. So it may be sd1, then disconnect and show up as sb1 and then i tried to permanently mount through fstab, but still didn't work. Connection setup? Not sure what you mean by that, but computer is hardwired to the network, external drive was connected via USB 3.0 in several different ports to see if it was a motherboard issue. I am on Cinnamon Mint 22 and i believe kernel 6.14.

I' think this will be my best bet going forward. I still need to have my windows computer setup for modding, but i'd rather use linux for daily use and torrents.

Read/Write and linux will disconnect them randomly and they show up as a completely different drive. So i tried to permanently mount the UID in fstab, but still didn't work. Most of the fixes i've found online don't work for my drives.

The only thing that sucks about switching to linux is moving my external NTFS USB drives to my new linux server.

Linux HATES NTFS, hates usb drivers, and hates external drives that aren't formatted to ext4. fstab doesn't work for my WD Elements, so i just gave up and shucked the drive and put it inside.

I can't fit 5 3.5" hard drives in my SFF dell 3070, so i'm stuck on windows right now, but they keep doing random updates the last few weeks and my windows explorer freezes constantly and my computer barely works. So i'm going to have to switch to linux and possibly reformat all 36TB's to ext4. Not excited about that at all.

So either reformat all my external drives, buy a very expensive NAS with an external SATA port and hope my motherboard recognizes them.

He'll be out of business in a years time!

Seriously a great idea though. I'd buy all their stuff.

Leaving reddit has helped me substantially. That website is full of bots and trolls. The admins are power hungry and really angry for some reason.

I started reading again, doing more art and not doomscrolling as much. I could waste 3 or 4 hours easily scrolling through the reddit shithole and learn nothing.

I do miss the modding subreddits and the mechanics subreddits cause i like working on stuff and most of the post here are program/linux based. But as time goes on, this site will get better with more people and posts.

I love how the only option in his mind is to not vote in the future. Not trying to find the party that represents him, or vote for the other party that protects his views, but just give up entirely on democracy cause of one issue.

He is a weak person, a weak american, and is one of the problems with this country.

I wish I was making even $50k. I don't really think leaders in this country care about the majority of Americans. They see what we make, they KNOW the majority of us are struggling, but they refuse to help anyone but themselves.

Those MOFO's forgot to put MEAT on my hamburger like 7 years ago. Never went back. Place is always empty as it should be.

Duh. This is the future for all vehicles as their service departments are struggling as people cannot afford to fix their cars.

I will never own a vehicle that I can't maintain. I always do weeks of research before buying any car, so something like this is a huge red flag.

Just what I wanted to know. Thanks!!

Slowly getting back into playing my collection lately since i have a little more freetime. I'm see there are so many consoles out there that can be modded to unlock certain features.

I recently modded my Xbox 360 and love not having to deal with my discs anymore and being able to see CPU and GPU temps to avoid damaging the sensitive GPU.

I also have a modded Wii and it's the same situation. No need to deal with discs or worry if they have data rot. So much easier and less concern as my physical copies age.

I see the OG Switch can be modded and looking into that, seems like you can actually push it to do 60 FPS instead of the 30 it's locked into when you buy one if you overclock it.

I've also heard the PSP and 3DS are awesome to mod, but don't own them yet.

What do you all think is your favorite?
