Idk if 10% of the town patronizes it regularly and there's no other shops around that's like 250 customers coming in year round, let's say each spends an average of 150 in a year that's what .... 37 grand? Plus whatever online retail they can do.

If it's just like one dude that runs it and works there and pays themselves I could see it being viable.

Edit: probably would be a good way to launder some drug money though and I've found a lot of weed smokers in the mix of my nerd shops I frequent.

Not gonna click anything from a jesus-is-savior domain but I think it's blatantly obvious Alex Jones is a huckster that peddled supplements and lies.

Occasionally he might have accidentally made a salient point but he has never been and never will be a good source of information. It's ironic his show's name is also what he's doing, fighting a war on information and truth with his bullshit and lies.

So I remember a political party behaving like one? Yeah, I do.

The party spends money on candidates that's how politics works (which sucks but whatever).

Is that not just how the DNC/political parties in general normally works anyways?

I always wonder if people complained about stores when we started to get the merchandise out of the warehouse ourselves.

Something like, "why isn't there a clerk getting the groceries on my list for me, I don't work here, I shouldn't have to go into the back and get my own shit."

I prefer bagging my own shit anyways when I go shopping. I don't break shit and at least in my area it looks like they disabled the weight shit or set the tolerances higher so I'm not constantly told to bag something I already did or getting told I bagged something without scanning .

Now it's pretty good actually.

I did say fuck Nestle, didn't I? I'm not really trying to advocate for them just from reading that excerpt I would be interested to know how much the company and its reps really knew about the drinking water situation.

Like, I'm very certain they didn't do anything to help or to combat the problem, just curious if it was something they knew about and how it was handled. I can say for sure they're evil and should have helped. It's just I am thinking about who knew what and how much.

I guess it's more of a thought and less of a defending them because I am not a big nestle fan. Although I do love their chocolate milk mix, reminds me of my childhood so I occasionally buy it because I'm a bad guy.

To play (actual) devil's advocate ... Is it Nestle's fault the drinking water was unclean that was mixed with the formula?

That's where I would say the whole, who's responsible part of the equation gets fucky. To be clear, nestle should have done more to combat this and not have pushed formula feeding where they knew the water could be bad.

I'm not a fan of them by any means and would definitely need to read more and definitely know they're evil (fuck I mean I'm pretty sure every large enough corp is evil, hell most of the small ones too) but it still gives me pause when it's presented.

Just so I'm unequivocal here - nestle is bad and fuck them.

If you got money and really want something like it there's eBay as an option potentially.

You're looking for a Philco Television

Good luck! If you don't have money to light on fire you might just have to accept the dream won't become reality.

Some people also make art pieces either with or just as smaller reproductions. So that could be an option if you want something just aesthetically pleasing but still will be pricey.

Edit: I know that eBay link isn't the exact same model but I'm like 99% it is a philco TV on the album cover

A better question to ask, what will be done if it is illegal? If there's no consequences to illegal actions then what does it matter other than having an "il" in front of legal?

I fail to see how this comic blames people driving cars for the problem. Just that we should strive to improve how we build our society so that we could have meaningful and good lives without requiring an automobile.

Look, as the world's dumbest man you might not realize this but there are lots of suicide devices already on the market or even better free alternatives!

Why not try a skyscraper? Perhaps wading into a cold ocean and never coming back? You could drive a car into a tree?

Just trying to save you some time and frustration, plus a few bucks too!

...uh seriously though if you want to talk to someone feel free to dm me. Your life has value and I do hope you come to realize this and try your best to find some enjoyment in this world of ours. Of course, I say that as someone who has described life as being "trapped by existence" so I can kind of get what you're feeling. Hang in there, not literally though because tying a noose right can be hard.
