I really hope you can open up to someone about your home life. Someone you can trust. I don't know what faith you have, but maybe the pastor, preacher etc. could be a person of trust? I know that in my home country they are obligated to keep your confessions private under any circumstances. Or maybe there's an institution for victims of domestic violence nearby? I know this may sound frightning at first or you might feel ashamed for one reason or another. But I hope you can take this step to get some outside help for your situation. You deserve to be safe. You deserve to be happy.

I keep my OSs set in English, although it's not my native language. Simply, because most articles and forum posts for troubleshooting are in english and it makes translating sub-menu titles obsolete
I did actually. Thank you, I'll reach out if I need help.
I am upgrading my GPU soon, and wanted to prepared, if I'd need to upgrade kernel for new drivers. Flirted with an intel GPU for a bit and read that 6.11(?) was recommended. But I decided to got AMD so, that may be unnecessary now.
As a fellow Linux user: thank you for mentioning the OS as well and your overall pretty detailed comment. :)
I think there is a misunderstanding here. I didn't say that there is no value in discussing commonly suppressed or censored topics on the internet. I said that I would not want them associated with my regular account, which I believe is a good practice, especially if discussing said things could put you at risk.
I personally don't see the value. If I'd want to talk about stuff, I don't want my username associated with, maybe
- the internet is not the right place to have this discussion or
- I wouldn't want it associated to my account by any means, so would most likely create a burner account.
I also wonder if it wouldn't make moderation harder?
I am just an armchair expert, but aren't "dark empaths" already real? For example individuals with narcissistic personality disorder don't necessarily lack empathy. Also manipulation "benefits" greatly from being empathic.
God I love that episode :)
