Merteur? Martyr?

Right? It would be so much cheaper if we just used to the reinforcing steel to create thin tracks which we could put much more thermally efficient and eco-friendly wheels onto. In turn, we could carry exceptionally large loads of cargo or people over vast distances for a mere fraction of the cost (monetary) and a fraction of the cost (to the world) by creating long, highly aerodynamic vehicles capable of moving at ridiculously high speeds that would be uncontrollable for the average joe on the road.

Wait, haven't I heard of something like this before?

I can't remember if this was said to me or if I overheard it. Maybe I'm fabricating the memory entirely, but in any case, I recall a conversation where someone said almost exactly what you did in that last sentence. The reply was of course

"Well someone always gets hurt."

"What do you mean?"

"It costs someone money to put those bathrooms in."

Cue the "what the fuck did I just hear" alarms

Yeah but what does that have to do with the other posters sister saying it a while back?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

Honestly a lot of people just don't realize how easy it actually is. They think it's something arcane and strange

Mr. President, that man walked in here with a big blue box, and three of his friends. And, that's the man he walked past. One of them is worth listening to.

I really like these mannequins. That's not my body type, nor would I wear those shirts. But someone with that body type looks good in shirts like that, so using those mannequins gives those people a much better idea of how it'll look on them

That's actually a pebble, not a rock

I fucking love this. I've been wanting to get into some slightly more professional looking development and being able to make some Lemmy plugins would be huge for me

Can not get to you under the blanket

Good point.

There actually an interesting reason behind this.

And here's the real one, if anyone is interested. Alligators are ambush predators, and they don't do very well with twisting. They're designed to go forwards, and boy oh boy do the GO FORWARDS. So, poking at it's side actually does make it hesitant because it is afraid that whatever is touching it over there is just as fast as it is. However, whatever is over there touching it's side doesn't have to twist, whereas it would. Therefore, it sits still and hopes that you either get in front of it, pass over it, or at least be swift.

Well, now I've outed myself for no reason!

To preface, I kind of know the answer to this. I've put on weight before but I was hoping to get advice on how to go about better/more efficiently. I guess my question is really: what are healthy high calorie foods I can use to put on weight?

I've been underweight pretty much my entire life. I don't think I have a chronic eating disorder, but there are times where I just don't want to eat. I believe, however, that's actually not my largest issue.

I'm potentially too health conscious. I'm vegetarian by accident (So I dated this girl right...) mostly, and as a result I eat a lot of nutrient-dense but calorically-low foods. I'm currently sitting just under 56kg (125 lbs) at 180cm (5'11ish). My plan currently is to just eat more often, and slowly ramp up how much I eat at each meal. About 6 years back I managed to hit 77kg by eating 4/5 large meals per day but then lost it all over the years by being sedentary and losing my appetite.

I really enjoy rereading my past conversations, whether it's texts or comments here on Lemmy. I do it pretty much every day, and I just think about the different things that could have been said. I don't obsess over it, I basically treat it like another feed. When I get bored of Home and All, I go through my own profile.

Do you ever reread past conversations here or elsewhere? How often?

I think the color is similar enough to them that I look more sucklable than I did before I bought it. And I know people are gonna come in here and be all like "If your kitten suckles it means you took them from their mom too early" but their mom abandoned them in my neighbors yard so I don't exactly feel at fault for that lol

I just thought this interaction was sweet and wanted to spread the positivity :)

I believe these guys might be related to the kittens I've posted, which were rescued from the neighbors yard after 5 days of crying
