Working my way through act 2 of Baldur's Gate 3. I feel like I've done just about everything in the Temple of Shar except the

spoiler

fight against Balthazar.

I tried it a couple times but got whooped a little too easily. Shadowheart is a beast though. She's usually the last one alive when I try it. She can take out all the mobs by herself. It's gonna take the whole squad to win the fight. I need to get my party up a level or two. Me being a defenseless bard is pretty tough. In all my attempts I've been sniped turn one with little recourse to get revived.

Then on top of that I've put time in AI Wars 2 and fighting games. AI Wars 2 is so cool. Complete information overload and a wonky UI but it's got the addicting qualities I like in video games.

Tekken has been calling me as like a stress reliever. Then the Marvel announcement yesterday made me fire up Strive and SF6. I might put real effort into Strive this time. I've always wanted to but it's never quite clicked like SF, and Tekken. And yes I installed DBFZ out of sheer joy yesterday. That rollback better be good.

Howling Dark by Christopher Ruocchio. It's a space epic. Pretty good so far. The first book is a bit of a slog but really picks up in the later 3rd. The second book is much better so far. Still kind of a slow read though. 80 short 10ish page chapters is a slowdown factor for me. If it was 15 to 20 pages it would be paced better imo.

ICE Barbie, DOJ Barbie, and Dumb Communication Barbie is the worst lineup of Barbies ever. Then to top it all off Hegseth is Ken.

My brother got Loser down one of his sideburns. Everybody uses it against him every once in a while.

The new Deafheaven album is amazing.

Snooze - I Know How You Will Die - Out of left field discovery. They have a really diverse sound scape. It's mostly metal but does a good job of not following a set genre of metal.

BCNR - Forever Howlong - is a grower, not a shower. At first I didn't really like Tyler's songs because she left absolutely no room for anything to breath. But I've done a 180 on them as I find her voice so soothing.

I can pop my right peck on command. I can pop my left peck only if I concentrate as hard as possible.

This and the level of free speech that came with it is really needed right now. I don't mean free speech in a go tell someone you disagree with to fuck their aunt type of way. I mean having real deep hard conversations about organizing and enabling movements. It feels like the Internet is scared of that because of monetization and content policies that have chopped the balls off of any form of organization or resistance. Like there's so much shit I wish I could say but some mod policy kills it with a pinned post at the top of the comment section before I can even begin typing out my thoughts.

Ryzen 7700x and a 5600xt. I get about 25 fps after the new patch on low to medium. I've put in about 20 hours so far. It has the makings of being a great city builder/management game. It feels more like the Sim City of old rather than a sequel to Cities Skylines 1. The road tools are a amazing compared to CS1. The management aspects are waaaaayyyyyyyy better then the first game. It's a solid foundation gameplay wise. It just needs a shit load of work to bring it up to par performance wise.
