Unfortunately google has these draconian requirements for personal developer accounts, where they require "at least 12 testers to be opted-in for at least 14 days" during this "Closed Testing" phase, just to unblock production access.

APK sideloads do not count as far as I know.

I understand the motivation (reducing abuse and malware), but it does make things harder for small personal developers. Business accounts don’t have this requirement, so I may look into that.

Sorry for that, I've clarified in the post.

You need to be signed in to google to join the group. If so then you can click on the app links and install in on the android device.

The account you use to join the group must be the same on the target android device.

I have images less than 1Mb, both jpg and png. The upload always fails either on the post or here in the comments. I'll try some different formats.

Don't even get me started on these requirements by google for personal developer accounts. This is a mandatory testing phase before they give me access to production. The google group is necessary for the app links to be unblocked for that particular google account.

I 100% understand the pain this is, but not sure I can do anything more to simplify the process.

My conclusion as of late is that I should just create a business google account to skip this haha.

Are you referring to the Google Group link?

It may show "You don't have permission to access this content", but if you are logged in to Google you should see a "Join/Access Group" link no?

Isn't the imgur link working? I tried uploading the imgs directly but it was always failing.

Hello everyone,

I’ve been working on a simple 3D maze game for Android. The main idea is a daily maze: everyone plays the same maze each day and competes on a global leaderboard.

It’s designed to be quick and casual. Wordle-style sessions you can finish in a few minutes.

Features:

  • Daily Maze: same maze for everyone, resets daily, global leaderboard
  • Random Mode: no competition, solution button available
  • Duels: real-time 1v1 races on a randomly generated maze

I’d really appreciate feedback, especially on what features or modes would be interesting to add.

The app isn’t public yet because Google requires a testing phase, but testing is open. You just need to join a Google Group and then use the Play Store link below.

Google group: (It may show "you don't have access to this content" but if you login you can request access. It's unfortunately a necessary step for the App links below to work.)

App links:

Web: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.mazegame3d.app

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mazegame3d.app

(The App links above will only be available after joining the group. I'm very sorry, those are google requirements.)

Thanks!

Thank you!

Since it is a full chromatic piano you can play in any key and options to change octaves will be coming next!

Thanks! Feel free to share it with anyone you think might be interested!

Thanks!

More octaves is the very next thing to add. Not sure about the UI though. Screen real estate is scarce. One idea is to just remove the "Piano" word and add there two buttons for octaves, or add a settings cogwheel in place of the volume that opens a pop-up with both volume and octaves. This second option is probably better in the long term if more settings are added like different instruments.

I'm open to suggestions though!

Yes, for me it's useful to quickly find notes in a pinch, or figure out what key a song is.

Octaves and more sounds are definitely coming! The two touches I'm still investigating, but google maps on the watch accepts a pinch move, so theoretically it should be possible.

(Also if it's not asking too much, consider keeping the app installed for a few weeks please! Google will only allow the app to get out of testing and go public if I conduct the testing phase with a minimum number of users who keep the app continuously installed for that time. And thank you again!)

Well I didn't even tried to add them so I have no idea, though I'm sure if someone wanted they could probably make it work haha. Maybe some pop-up when opening the app? Or asking to watch a video on the phone? I know from the watch app It's possible to open a browser on the phone.

(EDIT: It's live on the Play Store. Search for "Watch Piano" !!)

Hello everyone,

I made a free piano app for all WearOS devices. Mostly for fun and personal use, but was a good opportunity to learn some Kotlin.

100% free, no ads, no in-app purchases or permissions. Just really wanna share it in case someone finds it interesting or useful.

You can check a 20 sec demo clip in the URL.

Please let me know what you think or what features I should add!

(Unfortunately the app is not public yet as Google requires an initial testing phase, but the testing is open and if you are interested it's a matter of joining a google group and then clicking on a direct playstore link. See below).

Edit:

Thanks!
