I live somewhere mountainous.

By road, it’s 4km to the grocery store, which is 150m lower in elevation. My nominally 750w middrive claims 140nm of torque, and shows a ~1300w pull when climbing. This level of power is only sufficient to make climbing feel like I’m riding flat ground unassisted. Cutout is 32kph, but flat ground is so rare I don’t hit it, I’m mostly climbing at <25kph or coasting downhill.

My state changed their max power from 750w continuous to 750w peak, which turned my bicycle into a motorcycle.

If I’d known I was going to be breaking the law, I’d have bought something more powerful, damn it.

Steel can be easily cleaned with lye, sodium hydroxide, often sold as oven cleaning spray. Just like a cast iron pan. Don’t use lye on an aluminum baking sheet. Don’t use lye in an enamel sink.

Steel baking pans can (should) be seasoned just like cast iron.

Clinton erasure is par for the course. No one remembers him as the first black President, either.

The town next to mine is Blue Jay, CA. One of the first things anyone will tell you is that there’s no blue jays in Blue Jay, preferably said while you’re looking at the multitude of blue-colored jays. “Well, then, what are those?” you’ll say. “Steller’s jays.” And then you’ll never hear that name again.

Did you do no research at all? White bread, grape jelly, smooth peanut butter.

Nevertheless, it’s a mediocre sandwich. The popularity is because it’s cheap, shelf-stable ingredients, compatible with a child’s palate. Adults rarely eat them, and when they do it’s mostly out of nostalgia for their childhood.

I’d say I wasn’t showing up, then I wouldn’t show up.
