Yep, yet another "honored and decorated" member of the force. Good luck with getting any reprecussions for this pos, seems like abuse is institutionalized over there.

The other officials could at minimum signal help. All I've seen is attempts to tell the public not to react to their occupation and to just let it happen. Dems need to start treating this with the severity it deserves. It's not like it'll put a bigger target on them, either, Trumps already targeting Dems for the smallest thing. It's more important that they signal strength and a willingness to protect their constituents, but apart from a few instances it has been very disappointing.

Exactly. Typical Democrats having no values apart from "my cabal and I are above the Law"

They are right, everyone else can talk the talk about how bad things are but there is zero action aside from a few instances of individuals actually using their position to resist and actually do any offense.

No it would definitely work, they just don't want to because they're all answering to the same powers (capital)

Local authorities absolutely have jurisdiction in their own states what. The feds can't come in an illegally occupy whatever they want, like this is clearly stated in the constitution. You seem to be assuming that these politicians aren't doing anything because the law bit that's not true, it's because they're weak and don't care to stick their necks out. It might be harder to find a group of cops willing to go with you in Texas specifically, but this is happening in places like Minnesota where they should absolutely at minimum be forcing this into the courts because we see the feds lose every single fucking time. This I'd apologia for weakness, and this is only gonna dig us deeper as we sit back and accept that doing nothing is ok and a doing literally anything more than complaining and gesturing is too much to ask. We need to demand action, we see the inaction in Minnesota and its not like that stops the feds from opening BS investigations and probes into political enemies, even when they're fully complicit. Demand more, people, stop enabling this weakness to rot our country away.

Bro the technology isn't the limitation, it's politics and the will of massive nations that prioritize money. They were right, we have the technology we need to correct it, but there is no magic button to fix it instantly

This level of disregard for the wills of the people you're supposed to be representing should carry a heafty punishment. When this is over I want all collaborators publically humiliated and barred from office at minimum, more when justified. I'm all for rehabilitation but these people are beyond help. Punish them and maybe the next lot won't be so confident. It's all a fantasy tho, nothing will happen. I'm not delusional. Dems will let everyone off the hook, yet again.

Like they are actively and maliciously forfeiting their oath to protect the constitution and should be tried for treason

[–] Honse@lemmy.dbzer0.com 22 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Exactly both sides are equally complicit In this coup and need to be treated as such. They need to be walked to the trials all together

Yep, "I love Nazis but don't like them when the do Nazi behavior". Actual dumbass when he's the one being effected and still does t recognize it. They really don't select the best and brightest, do they.

UPDATE 2 It seems that starting today, uBlock Origin is working to combat this Youtube Block. Mine started working again! Lets all thank the devs of UBO for fighting this fight!

UPDATE So as new info comes out, I'll be posting it here. It seems as if this Rollout Has Several Parts.

Part 1

You get a popup message over top of your video, blocking the screen:

  • This is the first sign. If you see this popup AND are logged into a YouTube account, your account has been selected.
  • At this stage you can likely close or block these messages with an adblocker.

Part 2

This message will change, indicating that you have 3 remaining videos to watch without ads.

Will insert photo once one has been found

  • At this stage your adblocker will imminently stop working in 3 videos time.
  • Personally using Firefox + uBlock Origin and tweaking filters and updates does not even fix it.

Part 3

None of the video loads now, everything looks blank.

  • At this stage you must tred new ground to avoid ads. I have posted methods in the comments. If you want to bypass this end page, read down there.

End of Update

YouTube has started rolling out anti-adblock to users inside the United States, which means that they are preparing to roll this out to the entire country. Personally, I have been blocked already. I want to gauge how common this occurrence is.
