That's not the only point though. IIRC, they also remove telemetry, and pocket as well as some other things. I personally turn back on persistent sessions and history, but leave all the other privacy features there.

Asides from the kinda-shady crypto stuff and the other things that've already been mentioned, just philosophically it should be kinda evident that over-concentration on one corporate controlled rendering engine isn't a good thing. Google wants the internet to be a walled garden with themselves as the sole decision makers so they can stuff ads down your throat.

Gecko's web compat is bad largely because of this over-concentration.

That is the default behaviour, but it's pretty trivial to change. Also, I'd imagine the distro maintainer could choose to change the default settings as part of a post-install script, if they wanted to.

Edit: Not sure why you're being downvoted, as I do think it's a valid concern.

While FF's evil quotient has been on the rise, Brave definitely isn't a better option. If anything, librewolf is the way to go.

I honestly use the one I'm fancying at the time. If I want a more rural feel, I'll go with "otes" as in "votes".

Also, Kaioatseeeeeeeee?

Could also be explained be recency bias.

Is this like an idiotic Luigi copycat? He hates big pharma, so he goes and kills a pharmacist? Like at least have the chutzpah to go for a big fish.

OK, I'll start:

It's a little thing, but Fresh Co. labels a ton of produce as "Mexico or the US". That seems a bit shady in my books, so I'll just assume that means it's from the US.

I just occasionally go back to shill for Lemmy. Pretty sure that hurts them more than helps. :D

Is there a transcript?

It's a really really odd story. The article says that the accident was a minor crash, and that her vehicle sustained A$2000 worth of damage.

There's no way getting hit buy a bus going 110Kph doesn't total your vehicle. And if it was just a glancing blow, how do you go into renal failure from what's basically a fender bender? Severe whiplash maybe?

Perhaps it's just my armchair traffic injury analysis that's way off base, but it just seems to me like there's more to this story.

I'm all for funding the arts, but it has to come second to our basic needs of food, shelter, and safety. As long we continue to refuse to raise taxes on our most wealthy, we'll have to contend with some amount of austerity, and unfortunately, it's areas like the arts that will be hurt.

I don't normally deep fry food because it's annoying, uses a lot of oil, and not very healthy, but I somehow ended up with 2 lbs of oyster mushrooms and needed something else to do with them. Holy cow was it worth it.

Found the recipe here.
