They've said that this is a big stepping stone towards support for Microsoft's graph api and lots of on-prem servers will still be using EWS for ages to come.

Incredibly sad news. You'd always see her popping up in places you wouldn't expect, YouTube comment threads, discord servers. I followed her mastodon posts and it was heartbreaking to read her posts about looking after Jennell in her final months, but she was so upbeat and warm as well in her interactions with people. Her work is of course legendary and Jennell too made some of the Quake maps that I still play to this day.

I do like to think though that is nice that the two of them are reunited. RIP Burger Becky.

Who wants to give me a billion dollars to dig a hole and I'll give you a billion to fill it back in and we'll both say to investors we posted a billion dollars in revenue.

I've seen this described as "the absolute minimum at the last possible second" - true, perhaps, somewhat, but still should be encouraged

Raymond's book is an amazing read and full of stories very much like this one.

Communities, friends, family and media are your discovery algorithm! Get involved in things. It makes your music acquisitions meaningful and makes the experience of discovering and listening to music so much better.

Good response from Tony Burke: "Strength is not measured by how many people you can blow up or how many children you can leave hungry"

I just try to describe it like email. "You've got your gmails and your outlooks and your yahoos and whatnot, you pick one you like, but they're all email and it won't stop you seeing emails from outlook guys if you're a gmail guy."

Took me ages to understand this. I'd thought "If an AI doesn't know something, why not just say so?“

The answer is: that wouldn't make sense because an LLM doesn't know ANYTHING

I can't remember, it was so long ago. I think I had a 9550 too. Had to run at 640x480 and turn specular and shadows off to get a decent frame rate, left bump mapping on no matter what because the game just looked like arse without it. I played through constantly turning specular and shadows on and off so I could alternate between gawking at the graphics and being able to actually play the game lol
