We had been mulling over the idea of leaving, but then my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in Nov. He says he's now tainted, but if it gets too bad our son and I can leave; it's just a sad future no matter how I spin it at this point.

My son is in second grade and ha, chosen to not to say the pledge of allegiance (his own decision because we talk about how the country won't take care of its people). He says he teachers never force him, but subs always do claiming we're the greatest country in the world.
I'm able to utilize Lidl as well thankfully.
My husband was recently diagnosed with cancer and people in several support groups I follow are now no longer able to participate in trials. These are people whose last hope was a trial; it is absolutely going to kill people.
This is exactly what I think whenever I see him doing it
My father uses a knife and fork to cut off the crust, eat in pieces, and then continues to use the knife and fork. It is so embarrassing whenever we're out.
Had baby fever for about 2 years before my husband got his and we initially wanted at least 2. Had our son and the fever never returned. I didn't want to have another to appease society and end up with a child that I honestly would have regretted. I'm now happily one and done with an 8 year old. When things aren't going well, I have to remind myself and especially my husband that he's a child.
Every time we watch this, my husband and I agree that doing the holidays with our families feels exactly like this.
I guess I never thought about it, but my job technically does this once/month as we have an off-site day and it usually involves doing things that normally aren't open to the public.
I am glad to know I'm not alone in this line of thinking!
My area appears to have been hit with a paper towel shortage first. Attempted to get some at Costco today because we legit needed it, but they had none. Went to Lidl and they were running low, but was able to procure some.
Awww, my two favorite animals together!
